SARAH HENSON BLANTON Mrs. Sarah Henson Blanton, age 93, of Shelby, NC, passed away on April 9, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Doc and Georgie Hamrick Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Blanton; and brothers, JD Henson Jr., and Max Henson. She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Blanton Mayhue and husband, Eric of Vale, Sheila Blanton Tillman and husband, William of Hickory, and Janet Blanton Waters of Hickory; two grand- children; and a and great granddaughter. BOBBY HAYNES PRICE Mr. Bobby Haynes Price, age 73, of Shelby, NC, went to his heavenly home on April 9, 2019. He was the son of the late George Price and Estelle Peeler Price. Mr. Price served our coun- try in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Wendy Greene and one brother James Price. He is survived by his wife, Della Bailes Price; one son, Bobby Curtis Price and wife, Donnette of Casar; one brother, Dean Price and wife, Susan of Las Vegas; sister- Brown and husband, Rusty of Earl and Ann Patterson of Spartanburg, SC; one son, Al Patterson Jr. and wife, Darlina of Shelby; four sis- ters, Ruth Hamrick, Sue Washburn, Betty Warren, and Jeanette Bridges; three brothers, Alton Vess, Charlie Vess and Jack Vess; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Kendrick; her sister, Elsie Barnett Foster and hus- band, Bob; her brother, Loyd Barnett and wife, Margaret Pierce Barnett; and one brother-in-law, Bob Culbreth. Mrs. Willis is survived by WILLARD DEAN MOORE Mr. Willard Dean Moore, age 76, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 9, 2019. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late James Gordon Moore and Junie Proctor Moore and was preceded in death by his brother, James Moore. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Wanda Bumgardner Moore; daughters, Deanna Brown and husband, Joe of Kings Mountain, NC and Susie Graham and husband, Kenneth of Gastonia, NC; and six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. EVELYN WHELCHEL BYARS GRISSOM Mrs. Evelyn Whelchel Byars Grissom, age 89, of Gaffney, SC, passed away on April 9, 2019. She was the widow of Graham Grissom and the daughter of the late Olanzo "Lon" Whelchel and Folsom Wilson Whelchel. Mrs. Grissom is survived by two sons, Joe Byars and wife, Nancy and Kevin Grissom, all of Gaffney; two daugh- ters, Janet Byars and Brenda Byars Scruggs and husband, Gerald, all of Gaffney; five grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren, and two great- great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Donna Smith Whelchel, of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Grissom was preceded in death by five grandchildren and nine siblings. Funeral services were held in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel. Interment fol- lowed at Frederick Memorial Gardens. BILLY WRAY WILLIAMSON Mr. Billy Wray Williamson, age 70, departed this life for his eternal home on April 3, 2019. He was born to the late Flay Williamson and Annie Smith Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Ray Williamson; a daughter, Mary "Libby" Woods; a sister, Mary Battle; brother-in-law, (Wilbert); and a grandson.
