Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home and Cremation Center is serving the family. RHONDA ALINE GLADDEN BOWEN Mrs. Rhonda Aline Gladden Bowen, age 54, of Grover, NC, passed away on March 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, James Burl Gladden. Mrs. Bowen is survived by her husband, Randy Bowen; daughter, Danielle Bush; a grandson; a granddaughter; mother, Elaine Elmore; sis- ters, Lynn Black and Wanda Bowen; and brother, Shane Lovelace. A Memorial Service was held at Community Baptist Church on Hwy 226 North. Robert Morgan Funeral and Cremation Service, LLC of Boiling Springs, NC is serving the family. Mr. Bumgarner served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Bill Bumgarner; two sisters, Jody Starnes and Tulan Bumgarner; and two brothers, Hugh and Earl Bumgarner. Survivors include his wife, Lorena Smith Bumgarner of the home; four sons: Stan Bumgarner (Kathy) of Cherryville, Scott Bumgarner (Gwynn) of Gastonia, Andrew Bumgarner (Carol) of Cherryville and Ron Bumgarner of Clover, SC; four grandchil- dren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lynn Mahaffey Eargle of Lexington, SC and Eula Williams of Spartanburg, SC. A memorial service was held at First Baptist Church in Cherryville with Military Honors. Burial was private. MICHAEL LEANDER CONLEY Mr. Michael Leander Conley, age 62, of Shelby, NC, passed away on April 1, 2019. He was born in Cleveland County, on September 7, 1956, and was a son of Shirley Conley McConnell and the late Calvin Poston. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his son Lamar Hyde and a brother, Neal Conley. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hyde Conley; two sons, Tony Hyde of Shelby and Corry Hyde of Asheville; a daughter, Brooke Embler of Shelby and six grandchildren. CLAUDINE NICHOLS SHOEMAKER Mrs. Claudine Nichols Shoemaker, age 76, of Shelby, NC, passed away on March 24, 2019. A native of Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lucille Massey Nichols. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Shoemaker; and daughter, Sandra Davis. She is survived by her son, Jeff Shoemaker; daugh- ter, Shelly Shoemaker and husband Charles Ivey; sister, Deloris Bowlin, all of Shelby; and eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. JAMES MANLEY HOLTZCLAW Mr. James Manley Holtzclaw, age 69, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on April 2, 2019. He was a son of the late Willie Randall Holtzclaw and Florence Denton Holtzclaw. Survivors include a daugh- ter, Jackie Shull and hus- band, Buddy of Vale; a son Johnny Bridges of Cherryville; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Fortenberry and Sally Ponese Holtzclaw both of Cherryville; and three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Ricky Cleary of Lawndale; a daughter, Denise Keller of Fallston; son-in-law, Dallas Keller; boyfriend, Floyd Williams, Jr.; brother, Mike Wiggins; two sisters, Joan Greene and husband, Wayne and Vickie Isler; and seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Mrs. Neal was born on April 12, 1924 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Luther Hoyle, Sr. and Lula Williams Hoyle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Neal; and three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include two sons, Garlin Neal and wife, Elaine of Crouse and Wade Neal of Crouse; a daughter, Gail Sneed of Lincolnton; a sister, Mildred Chapman; a brother, Herman Hoyle of Kings Mountain; and seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and twen- ty-two great-great grandchil- dren.
