He was the son of the late William Selby and Doris Darwood Speyer. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann French Selby; and a son, Robert Selby Jr. Mr. Selby is survived by two sons, David Selby and wife Jeanette of Washington, and Richard Selby and wife Tammy of TN; two daugh- ters, Donna Dewell of Shelby, and Barbara Selby Jr. of Shelby; one brother, Harold Parr and wife Cindy; one sister, Lois Turner of MD; and eighteen grand- children and six great-grand- children. A gathering of friends was held at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses. Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serv- ing the family. BARBARA ANN GORDON PHILLIPS Mrs. Barbara Ann Gordon Phillips, 81, of Gaffney, SC, passed away on March 31, 2019. She was the widow of the late Ezell Phillips and the daughter of the late Ade Gordon and Janie Bright Gordon. Surviving Mrs. Phillips are two sons, Richard (Snake) Sellars and Ronnie (Rudy) Sellars, both of Gaffney; twelve grandchildren, eigh- teen great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her hus- band and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Dean (Fat Man) Sellars and Doug (JJ) Sellars, and four brothers, Gene Gordon, Roy Bright, Jack Gordon and JD (Rook) Gordon. The Gaffney location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the family. JIMMY WESSON NORMAN Mr. Jimmy Wesson Norman was born on July 2, 1936 and entered the gates of Heaven on March 30, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rolan Hoyle Norman and Vangie Wesson Norman; and his wife, Pat Costner Norman. He is survived by his brother, Bill Norman and wife, Jane of Shelby; his children, Alan Norman and wife, Pam of Lawndale and Angela Norman Bumgardner and husband, Ronald of Lawndale; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral service was held in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel. The burial followed the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston. ROSETTA L. MCDANIEL Mrs. Rosetta L. McDaniel, 75, of Casar, passed away on March 30, 2019. She was a daughter of the late Dennis Garland Ledbetter and Leona Elizabeth Ledbetter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by ten siblings. ALFRED "BUD" HARMON Alfred "Bud" Harmon, age 92, of Forest City, NC, passed away on March 30, 2019. He was born November 4, 1926 in Rutherford County, NC to the late George Thomas Harmon and Nanny Mason Harmon. Mr. Harmon served our country in the U.S. Army and was a vet- eran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Cash Harmon; and seven brothers and five sisters. Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Phillip Harmon of Cliffside and four grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church. Kyle was born September 22, 1967 in Atlanta, GA to the late Dougin Gill and Ruth Ann Chester Gill. Those left to cher- ish his memory include his four brothers, Jess Gill and Edward Gill both of Woodville, FL, Robert Gill of Crawfordville, FL, Brian Gill and wife, Sandra of Forest City and a sister, Crystal Gill of Havana, FL. A memorial service to her husband. Walter Hugh Saine; four brothers, Dwight Willis, Irdell Willis, A.R. Willis, and L.A. Willis; and two sis- ters, Pearl Sigmon and Mae Benfield. She is survived by three sons, Wally Saine and wife Debbie of Newton, Terry Saine of Valdese, and Jimmy Saine and wife Phyllis of Catawba; two sisters, Nell Yarbro of Vale and Ruby Cook of Lawndale; six grand- children; and eight great- grandchildren. Surviving Mrs Hord in addi- tion to her husband and her mother are four sons, Travis Hord (Kelly Hord) of Stanley, NC, Scott Neel (Kayla Daves) of Spartanburg, Steven Neel of the home, and Aaron Hord (Samantha Spivey) of Fountain Inn; one daughter, Brooklynn Hord of the home; one brother, Wayne Surratt of Concord, NC; three sis- ters, Pamela Smith, Patricia Smith, and Michelle Smith; and eight grandchildren. Surviving Mrs. Cagle are two sons, Craig Tackett of Blacksburg and John Paul Tackett of Kitts Hill, OH; and one grandson. She was laid to rest on her homeplace. She was the wife of the late Harry Riddle and daugh- ter of the late Jesse and Callie Roberts Wilds. She is survived by one daughter, Callie Riddle of Blacksburg, SC; one brother, Roy Dean Wilds of Kings Mountain; and four grandchil- dren and two great-grand- children. ROBINSON, III Mr. John L. Robinson, III, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on March 29, 2019. He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on August 3, 1949 the son of the late J. Linwood Robinson, Jr. and Madge Beam Robinson. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Robinson, of the home; a daughter, Laura Robinson; a son, Mac Robinson; and a granddaughter, all of Cherryville.
