Gentleman of the year Connor ross Connor Ross, also known as "Classy Connor", has been involved in numerous activities at Red Bluff High School such as: Varsity Football and Basketball, and CSF. He also helps out with PATH whenever he possibly can and also takes out the trash for Mrs. Maxine. Currently Ross is employed at Tai's Deli and is a sandwich artist. When Connor found out he was nominated for Gentleman of the Year he was overwhelmed with joy and his heart became all warm and fuzzy #gentleman. What makes Ross a gentleman is that he has a smooth and soothing voice, he has classy looks, gentle eyes, and a shine of a smile. He also loves everyone. A gentleman he looks up to is Bradley Cooper. His favorite high school memory would be at basketball and football games when the whole school was cheering the teams on. Ross especially loved the shootout game against Corning. Connor plans on attending UNR (Reno, Nevada) after high school. He's going to try and walk onto the football team as the kicker, he then plans on becoming a registered nurse. Michael Nelson Michael Nelson, also known as "Magic Mike", felt his toes perspire when he found out he was nominated for Gentleman of the Year. He felt a shock go to his "gluetes" that everyone in the room felt. Michael's activities at Red Bluff High include cheering at the basketball games because "big ballin' is my hobby" he said. Also, he was involved in wrestling, track and rapping pointless songs to attract his loving viewers. What makes Michael a gentleman is the fact that he's able to be good friends with Mr. Piffero and he's a lover, not a fighter. A gentleman Michael looks up to is Quintan... because he's literally taller than him. His favorite memory from high school is Tri-Tip Thursdays with the brosives. Michaels plans after high school include him going pro at cricket and shuffleboarding. Quintan Ortega Ricky Brewster Ricky Brewster, also known as "Red Dragon" has been involved in various extra curricular activities at Red Bluff High, like: Student Government, Math and Science Club, Outdoor Adventure Club, Key Club, Golf Team, Church Youth Group, and mountainboarding. When Ricky was nominated he felt "beatifific and dignified". When asked what made Ricky a gentleman, he responded with, "My momma says it's because I'm cavalier and articulate, splendiferous and cordial. He looks up to two gentlemen, Jesus and Ghandi. His favorite high school memories include being Rally Commissioner at the Homecoming and Holiday Classic rallies. Brewster plans on going to a junior college in Sacramento and then transferring to a university. Gradually he will take over the world... He'd also like to add Austin Torres for Gentleman of the Year 2014! Miles Leyva Miles "The Mysterious" Leyva has been involved with Band, Stage Craft productions, Choir, and is the founding member of the SuperExcentricXenophage Yodelers. When Miles got the call that he was nominated he was watching a documentary about mass murders so he was a little sad; but then he was happy because "you guys make me feel so sparkly inside..." Miles believes what makes him a gentleman is his sincere love for everyone and also his humbleness. He's the type of person who would climb a mountain and not tell anyone. Miles looks up to Dean Martin. "When you see his shows he always has what appears to be a glass of alcohol. What most people don't know is that he never drank on camera, it was just water." said Leyva. His favorite high school memory is putting banana peels in the hallways with his friends freshman year and listening to Laurel Shoop's bio about how she was so embarrassed about slipping on one three years later. When asked about what he wanted to do after high school Miles said, "No spoilers." Quintan "The Courageous" Ortega has been involved in a traveling Lacrosse team and due to the fact that he worked through out his entire high school career, he has not had time for much else. Upon hearing that he was nominated for Gentleman of the Year, Ortega was flattered and surprised like any true gentleman should be. What makes Quintan a gentleman is that he has feelings, he cares for all and is always honest and frank. He's much more than the 'chisled body' and 'nice smile' that everyone first sees in him. "I literally look up to Sonny Songer... He's taller than me." said Ortega when asked which gentleman he looked up to. His favorite high school memory is Tri-Tip Thursdays with the boys. Quintans plans after high school include listing into the Air Force as Security Forces. He then plans on becoming involved in Law Enforcement. Peter mitzel Peter Mitzel, also known as "Pistol Pete", has been involved in Varsity Golf each year of high school and he currently works at Wilcox Oaks Golf Course. When Peter was nominated he felt pretty good, it definitely made his day. Mitzel thinks he's a gentleman because he treats everyone equal and he has poetry within his soul. A gentleman he looks up to is Mitt Romney. Peter's favorite high school memory is playing high scool golf matches and Tri-Tip Thursdays with his friends. After high school Peter plans on attending a four year university and major in business.
