Arts and Entertainment Page 5 February 1, 2013 'DMC' appeals to a select audience your left with an active target system. This allows you to take on mobs of enemies in a way that is functional and fun. Launching creatures into the air and pulling yourself up to them in angle mode to finish them off with a ferocious finally.DMC washed out a lot of the classic gothic look of the series and repaints the world with colors that are crazy, surreal, and even twisted sometimes. There are moments where you can't help but stop and think 'this took time to make.' Such moments are when seemingly out of nowhere your surroundings crumble and rearrange itself to leave staring at a whole new terrain that is more dangerous than before. Aleczander Sims Staff Writer Limbo City is a beautifully crisp environment to relax in. Until the floor falls out from under you just to launch loads of beasts and monstrosities at you that is. In Capcom's most recent update to the Devil May Cry action series, DMC: Devil May Cry, you take control of a character named Dante. After a fun night in the city, Dante wakes up to a pleasant knock at his front door. He answers it only to find out that a massive beast is after him and is waiting to attack. The creature uses a strange power that makes your surroundings work against you. This alternate world, where building scatter and take on a dark look, is called "limbo." After escaping the monsters effects, Dante gets confronted by an organization called "The Order" who specialize in taking care of demons. The leader of this organization is Virgil, who is the one that reveals to Dante Dante, the protagonaist in DMC, has a revamped look in this recent addition. his past and what his purpose is, to take down the demon king Mundus and save mankind. In this adaptation Dante the son of Sparda is a Nephilim, a fusion between angle and demon, gifted with the powers of light and dark. Using each power gives you separate abilities, for instance in devil mode you deal more damage, you move slower, can't jump as high, etc… and visaversa for angle mode. Though 'Hansel and Gretel' shocks viewers with mix of suspense and comedy Sahvanna Rice Staff Writer The film Hansel and Gretel, directed by Tommy Wirkola, is not like your average Hansel and Gretel story book tales. This movie will keep you on your toes till the very end. From the stories you know, Hansel and Gretel were lost in the dark forest and came across a house made of candy and confectioners. As kids their first instinct was to eat as much candy as they could. Little did they know, it was enchanted by a dark witch. The witch wanted to fatten the kids up and then eat them, but the two kids saved their lives by outwitting her, they make it out safely and finds their way home, thee end. But with this movie there is more. While Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) were kids, their mother put a spell on them to become immune to the witches, when they made it out alive from the witches house they decided that the witch hunting life was for them. Tommy Wirkola did an amazing job writing and directing this film to show what happens to them once they are older. This movie is a little graphic for the younger ones with all it's amazing special affects, but with this film, I would very much recommend it in 3-D for all teenager's and up. With this film it was not that bad of a suspense. It does keeps you on your toes. This movie would be betwen a mixture of a suspense and a comedy for me. Jeremy father abandoned them when they were younger. She finds out that their beliefs aren't really what it seems. Tommy Wirkola definitely outdid himself, he put together an amazing film with great sound effects and incredible special affects, he really went the extra mile. I don't think there is anything esle he could have added. This movie left me satisfied and applauding on how well it turned out. I think the director did a great job puzzling in their past with their present and keeping the story real. Tommy Wirkola definitly picked the perfect actors for this movie. Jeremy and Gemma did a great job and really fit the characters that were chosen for them. If you love a movie with a little suspense mixed in with a little comedy then this movie is worth your time plus the $8.75 at your local movie theater. I would most definitely buy this movie when it comes out on DVD. "If you love a movie with a little suspense mixed in with a little comedy then this movie is worth your time plus the $8.75 at your local movie theater." Renner is a well-known actor from his previous movies: The Avengers, Thor, and The Bourne Legacy. He did a great job acting with his costar Gemma Arterton. In this movie he is the funny guy but serious when it comes to getting the job done. Gemma Arterton, known for the movie The Clash of the Titans; also does an incredible job with revealing the most important piece of the puzzle of why her and her brother's mother and Definitely worth the money and time Site of the Issue www.truestar.com To all who want to get that beach bod you have always wanted, or to those who want to live as long as they can and be as healthy as humanly possible check out TRUSESTAR.COM/ BODYBUILDERBRANDONCROY. Using his sword, axe, scythe, and iconic twin pistols Dante's attacks are devastating and exciting to watch. Devil May Cry fans will enjoy the classic combo rating system and upgrade selectionOne feature that was left out of this game is a manual targeting system, where you can lock onto one specific opponent, instead Mark Criss Staff Writer things are starting to stir forcing Lexington and her friends to leave home and travel abrod to a new grim town that will hold many secrets and few answers. Scorch was a dark tale to readmaking it great for te people who enjoy the creeps within a boks pages. It still did involve many moments of humor through out the book giving the reader more than one memorable laugh. With the humer added to it the story seemed to brighten up a little giving the tale a shadowy path were the readers can get lost in without tripping along the way. Still no story is quite perfect. The book, Scorch did leave a few subjects open in the story causing readers slight confusion that was never fixed through out the story even in the end. another issue that was found in this book that most readers might disagree with was the events that play out in the end of the Excellent, but definitley an aquired taste. Gina Damico creates an epic novel with 'Scorch' Can you imagine a world were enything living faces the danger of a firey dimise with the only hope being held in a exdelinquint teenager's hands? Apparently Gina Damico can and does with another intriging thriller added to her new series making the second book Scorch. This dark story starts out in a small town called Croak, where its meager population involves a town of grims. As frightining as it may seem, the grims are held responsible for providing a person's soul safe passage to the afterlife, a place of pure bliss were someone goes once he or she has passed away. However, things in the world of grims or what the grims them selves call the "Grimosphear" are degrading slowly speeding up at a faster rate as time roles by, wich is a massive threat to eople world wide. While all this is happining; however, an exgrim, mass murderer is on the loose. Zara has stolen the power to damb soles, wich instead of providing people safe passage to the after life someone can force them to suffer an eternity of fire instead. With that alone she stands to be a formidable foe for main charector Lexington Bartelby who is sucked into the whole mix. Back in the town of Croak book. It would be easy to say that the auther is repeating ideas through out her series. Some might say this is a good thing, but it still was a mystery with no hope of answers. Every story has mistakes through book to an extent. It was still a great book. That is of course saying that you're not afraid of a little dark humor. This tale will suck readers into a brand new world giving them a different perspective of life and possibly a greater value of it. You can order it online or go to a local Barnes and Noble. The retail price is 8.99 plus the usual tax. This book will be definitely be worth while. An awesome book that will definitely capture your attention
