B-10 Wednesday, January 23, 2013 The Press-Dispatch Boy Scout Jamboree Michael Smith winds up for a hatchet throw. Petersburg's Boy Scout Troop 151 and troops from several other counties attended the Boy Scout Jamboree at Old Ben Scout Reservation this weekend. The theme of this year's Jamboree was "Cold War," and the scouts did several on-theme activities such as Morse code, cold-weather survival and hatchet throwing. They also played a game called "I Spy" in which one person in the camp was designated as a spy. Scouts investigated throughout the weekend to find the spy and were able to meet new friends from other troops in the process. Above: Scouts from Troop 182 in Jasper decode a Morse code message.
