Area Reunions Gibson County Master Gardeners to host Ron Young, wildlife photographer, July 16 Do talented wildlife pho- tographers only work in the Amazon wilderness, or can you find them other places? We have one in Southern In- diana who is eager to share what he has done and show the beauty the Patoka Wild- life Refuge. Ron Young has followed Southern Indiana trails and woodlands with his Canon camera, look- ing for wildlife. When his trained eye finds it, he pho- tographs it and saves it to share it with others. On Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m., the Gibson County Master Gardeners will host Ron Young as he shares a small percent of the thou- sands of photographs he has taken of delicate flow- ers and growing things he has discovered with his eye for beauty. What others miss, he finds and it is of- ten incredible. His special- ty is Southern Indiana, and he will share the secrets of the Patoka Wildlife Refuge. Members of the public are invited to this event at no charge at Our Savior Lu- theran Church, west of the Princeton Rural King. Master Gardeners are active in every county in In- diana and in every state in the U.S. and Canada. Gib- son County Master Gar- deners are sponsored by Purdue University Exten- sion Service. They pro- vide intense home horti- culture training to com- munities, teaching people about growing plants and providing plant-related in- formation and technical as- sistance.
