My family watches different John Wayne movies every year and when I saw this classic I knew I had to add it to the list. It's a Charlie Brown movie where Charlie gets a call from Peppermint Patty who has invited herself to his house for Thanksgiving saying he won't mind because he "likes her so much". It's obviously the other way around but hey, a girl can dream right? She hangs up and a few minutes later she invites her friend Marcie and next invites Franklin. The only problem, besides Peppermint Patty inviting two others and herself to someone else's house, is that Charlie Brown isn't even going to be at his house for Thanksgiving, he's going to his Grandma's' house. Linus gives him the genius idea of inviting them over earlier around twelve and have two Thanksgiving dinners. Linus, Snoopy and Charlie make a small Thanksgiving dinner, which includes popcorn and toast, and invite them over for a Thanksgiving lunch instead. Peppermint Patty comes over with her two guests and Snoopy serves his guest. She sees her plate and gives Charlie a bad time because of it, because instead of having a big turkey w i t h mashed potatoes, they're eating popcorn and toast. He gets upset because he feels like he ruined everyone's Thanksgiving, she feels bad and sends Marcie over to apologize to him. She does and they make amends. Charlie calls his grandma and explains that they're going to be late because he has friends over. She invites them all, and Charlie and his friends go to her house for a real, warm family Thanksgiving dinner. The show ends on Snoopy and Woodstock having a big dinner. I love this movie, it shows how a real Thanksgiving should be celebrated, to be grateful for those around you. It's not about stuffing your face with the most food, it's about coming together with your loved one's, family or friends, and having a good time. My family always does something together, and it means a lot to me. Thanksgiving is the time to take a good look at what you have and give thanks for it. This Charlie Brown show did a great way of representing what Thanksgiving is supposed to be all about. It's a great movie to see with family and friends and makes you really think about how lucky you are to be together. 'The Last Witch Hunter' recently came to theaters on October 23, 2015. This dark fantasy action thriller film was produced by Lions Gate Entertainment, Summit Entertainment, Aperture Entertainment, and Emmett/ Furla/Oasis Films. It also directed by Breck Eisner and written by Cory Goodman, Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless. Starring in this film is Vin Diesel and Rose Leslie. This movie shows the modern world with a slight secret to it. This secret being that there are witches and warlocks and such among the "regular world". There has been an ongoing threat of "bad witches" in the real world. Kaulder, Vin Diesel, is there to stop bad witches and keep the world at peace with them. He's called The Last Witch Hunter because in the very old days he was "cursed' with eternal life. He killed the Witch Queen, and she cursed him. He lived about 800 years before he found out the real purpose of the curse. He has a Dolan which is a person who is assigned to him to watch over him and guide him. The night before his Dolan retired he was "killed" and it was done by evil magic. He was sent to figure out what h a p p e ne d b e c a u s e his cause of death w a s u n d e t e r - mined. T h i s m o v i e was very fraudulent l o o k i n g . The quality of the graphics looked very fake. Nothing about this movie was real. For some reason, there were all these weird characters popping up that had nothing to do with the movie. His Dolan told him to remember s o m e t - hing about his death. He went to this " w i t c h bar" type thing and yet again a n o t h e r p o i n t l e s s character popped up, Rose Leslie. It also seemed rushed and not planned very well. I also think that Vin Diesel was not the right actor for the part. This action packed, whimsical movie was a complete waste of my time. I did not like it at all. It seemed to be too fantasy- like. It was not real enough for me. The only good thing about this movie was that the writers and creators had an active imagination. Seeing this movie made me feel like I was going inside someone else's imagination. I went to see this movie thinking it was going to be good because, in my opinion, every movie Vin Diesel is in is good. Some actually say "The quality of the graphics looked very fake." "Vin Diesel is a great actor!" This movie just was not really his forte. It seemed out of his element. I had faith that this movie was going to be good, because I like Vin Diesel, but sadly this was a disappointing, irrelevant movie. Remember back in the good old days where everything was simple. School was a thing to get excited for, you could do things without getting in trouble, and fun was always around the corner. Although you can't go back to those days, you can do the next best thing. My experience with the emulator has been a nice one. It has saved me from boredom so many times. Have fun playing old games that take you back to your childhood years. 'By the Sea' stars the well known power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. I originally planned to watch this film when I saw the trailer online on one of those annoying Youtube advertisements that apparently like to pop up on every single video on Youtube. So I decided to watch this movie knowing that I needed a little chick f lick. It was then that I realized that this movie was limited and was not showing in any of the nearby theaters. Then I thought, that's probably not a good sign that 'By the Sea' isn't showing worldwide and is only available in select movie theaters. Not quite a good way to start this review process. The good news is that I was in the bay area for a part of the weekend and was able to see this movie, and it did in fact deliver. My first thoughts before even watching this film were: it's Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, of course it's going to be one of those romantic chick f licks. The film is set in the time period around the 1970s in a small town in France. I absolutely love France, or any part of Europe if we're being technical here, so the scenic views of this cute little village in France was gained bonus points for the movie. The plot begins with discovering a newly married couple staying in the room next to them in the hotel they're staying in. Jolie's character, Vanessa, finds a peephole, and the couple start to watch their neighbors. Here they see something that their relationship in the movie doesn't. The couple played by Angelina and Brad, Vanessa and Roland, are struggling with their relationship. The neighbors show Vanessa and Roland, what love is really like, both emotionally and physically. Throughout the movie, www.timeslive.co.za the story line continues with Vanessa and Roland trying to rekindle their love like the couple next door's. What struck me about 'By the Sea' was that it was an effortless film, literally. There weren't any overly 'By the Sea' featuring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was released on November 13, 2015 in the United States, and was directed by Angelina Jolie. emotionally and physically dramatic love scenes where the guy tries to get the girl back or those action packed car chases, it was simple. Despite being simple, it still kept me interested the whole time. If you can get past the simpleness of 'By the Sea', then this is a film that I would definitely recommend, especially if you're into French films. Just don't make the mistake of taking your mother to watch this movie, like I did sadly.
