Health Dept. Organizations are asked to submit a copy of proof of tax-exempt status (Tax Exemption Certificate or other document), and complete a form listing the event, contact information, foods being served and supplier(s). There are no fees required for tax-exempt organizations to sell to the public, nor are tax-exempt vendors subject to inspections. Non-profit organizations are allowed to operate up to 15 days during a calendar year without a permit. However, any individual or group who does not have taxexempt status and plans to sell food or drinks to the public must apply for a Temporary Food Permit. Temporary permits require payment of a $10 fee and limit operation to no more than 14 days during a calendar year.
