Your first pair of sneakers: No idea. I always wanted Air Jordans as a kid, but we couldn't afford them. NICK SAKAI THE COLLECTOR Chucks with tuxedos: Suits, yes. With tuxes, it's much more difficult. When done correctly with a suit, sneakers can make a man look much more stylish than a pair of Dad's dress shoes. A former wedding coordinator from California, Nick Sakai is co-owner and founder of CRSVR, a sneaker boutique in Cosmopolitan dedicated to high-end streetwear. "The store focuses on limitededition product and brands that are difficult to find at major retailers," Sakai says. "Our customer base ranges from Shoe style you will be rocking this fall: 15-year-old kids holding their skateJordan's or Kobe's boards to 45-plus-year-old businessmen signature shoes. heading to STK for dinner, both looking for the same pair of Chuck Taylors." The shop stocks sought-after styles from Nike, Mitchell & Ness, Jordan, and Diamond Supply Co., but it's the Nike Frees that Sakai finds most essential. "They're a must-have for both men and women," he says. "Functional, fashionable, and the most comfortable shoe you will ever own." This winter, Sakai will unveil 12amRun at the Linq, with an equal emphasis on men's streetwear and women's sportswear and featuring monthly in-store pop-ups with Las Vegas exclusives in the store's mezzanine loft.
