Box 11, Washington, IN 47501 Dungeons and Dragons Club founded at PCHS By MaKenna Goins and Jade Johnson As a high school student, often times peers put empha- sis on the athletic abilities of one another, which can cause the less athletic to feel out of place or even cast aside in most social events. DND or Dungeons and Dragons is a well-rounded club where all are welcome to come join in a tactical, problem-solving so- cial game. In Dungeons and Dragons, the world around you is mold- ed by what you do, much like in reality, but with so much more room for expression. "It's a good way to express creativity and to bond with friends," said Andi Crume. The game allows players to feel as they want, to almost any extent. Through the creation of a totally custom- ized character, each player can, through their personal character, live out a new life, and feel the adventure with- in. These characters, when brought together, scour their way through puzzles, games and split-second problem solving. "Part of the game is imagi- nation and yelling. . . a whole lot of yelling," said Laney Johnson. "I am proud these guys chose me as sponsor. It is ex- citing to see them work on something creative and in- tellectual, rather than the usual sports stuff," said Fritz Krahl, PCHS German teach- er and Dungeons and Drag- ons Club sponsor.
