It will feature Jakob Newkirk as Willy Wonka, Conner Loveless as Char- lie Bucket, Devan Farmer as Augustus Gloop, Shel- by Keeker as Veruca Salt, Reagan Craig as Violet Be- auregarde, Max Burkhart as Mike Teavee and Tessa Vinnedge as Phinea Trout. Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka, Jr. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Won- ka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious can- dy bars. Whoever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka facto- ry, as well as a lifetime sup- ply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insuf- ferable brats, but the fifth is a likable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grand- father. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory—or suf- fer the consequences. Tickets are $ 6 and can still be ordered by calling the Pike Central Middle School Office at (812) 354- 8478 until the end of the day Thursday, October 11. Tick- ets can be purchased at the door until each show is sold out. The box office will open one hour prior to show time. In scene 12 of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka, Jr.," several Pike Central middle schoolers are on stage, including (l to r): Jaelee Loveless, Jayla Harris, Karly Kavanaugh, Conner Loveless, Max Burkhart, Gabby Collins, Reagan Craig, Ella Adams, Sally Keeker and Devan Farmer. Pike Central middle schooler Conner Loveless is Charlie Bucket and Jacob Newkirk plays Willy Wonka this Friday at 7 p.m. and then on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Vance Hays Auditorium.
