C-2 Church Wednesday, May 30, 2018 The Press-Dispatch Continued in next column Continued in next column Continued from page 1 Cats aren't partial to people who are wealthy and famous. What's in- side a person captures their attention and affec- tion. This week, PAWS is featuring an animated young cat named Apple- Jack, who can often be found in the cat room lounging in a cat tree or sunning herself on the porch. She is very inquisi- tive and will always come to greet volunteers, who come into the room, to enlist affection however she can. AppleJack is a large gal with beautiful golden eyes, long, white whis- kers, a tiger-stripped tab- by and has soft, plush fur. To adopt this high-spirit- ed and charming feline, call 812-354-9894. Wheelbarrow—No good unless pushed. 2. Canoe—Needs to be paddled. 3. Kite—Keep a string on them or they fly away. 4. Kitten—Contented on- ly when petted. 5. Football—Hard to tell which way they will bounce. 6. Trailer—Have to be pulled. 7. Watch—Full of good works. 8. Christ-like—Ready to let the Spirit lead. I chose to leave out one of them. I like what the Spir- it said in Revelation 15:13. "I heard a voice from heav- en saying unto me, Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from hence- forth. Yea, saith the Spir- it, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."' Because He lives. Power to the Weary and Down Hearted "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:26, NIV ). This is one of many scrip- tures in the Bible that can help us from day-to-day when we are weary or worn down. It reminds us that God is our strength and a comfort to our heart even when it may be breaking. He is always there to hold our hand and to strength- en and guide our path. Say- ing this scripture when you feel down hearted or weak and tired can even bring you up. The power of God's word is strong and that is forever the truth. Say this verse with authority and the devil that is plaguing your life must flee. For as Christians and children of God he give us power in his word through Jesus Christ.
