For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weep- ing may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morn- ing. Hear, O Lord and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper. You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be si- lent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever" (Psalm 30 :4,5,10 -12). We look forward to see- ing you at all of our servic- es. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us as we gather for praise and wor- ship, celebration and study. Fred J. Grenier, Pastor Corinna Williams, Reporter of the Messiah." This was a song I heard the other day on the radio and I wanted to share it with you. Song by Laura Story—Blessings We pray for blessings. We pray for peace. Comfort for family, protection while we sleep. We pray for healing, for prosperity. We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering. All the while, You hear each spoken need. Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things. Cause what if your bless- ings come through rain- drops. What if your heal- ing comes through tears. What if a thousand sleep- less nights are what it takes to know You're near. What if trials of this life are your mercies in disguise. We pray for wisdom. Your voice to hear. We cry in an- ger when we cannot feel You near. We doubt your good- ness, we doubt your love. As if every promise from Your Word is not enough. All the while, You hear each desper- ate plea. And long that we'd have faith to believe. When friends betray us. When darkness seems to win. We know that pain re- minds this heart. That this is not our home. What if my greatest disap- pointments. Or the aching of this life. Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy. What if trials of this life. The rain, the storms, the hardest nights. Are your mercies in disguise. We invite all of you to come and worship with us. CHURCH Corner of Center and Sycamore Sunday school 9:30 a.m.; morning worship 10 :30 a.m.; This Wednesday will be our monthly business meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9, will be the dedication of our newly re- modeled church and fellow- ship hall from 2-4 p.m. Remember those on our prayer list, the shut-ins and our lost loved ones. Do you run to or away from God, when He calls? Perhaps like Isaiah you feel as if you are "unusable" sin- ner and He is too holy to bother with you. But that is not the case. He is looking for repentant people who will turn to Him with their whole heart and trust Him with their whole life. He can work with anyone who obe- diently gives himself or her- self to Him. "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying 'Whom shall I send? ' And who will go for us? And I said, 'Here am I. Send me'" (Isaiah 6:8). Ken Reeder, Pastor Karri Brock, Reporter
