Features S partan ound off senior trip, where would you go and why? If you could plan the books of upperclassmen's parents, and excitement into the hearts and souls of high school students alike. Senior trip entails three days and two nights of nothing but fun. The trip includes heart stopping rides at Magic Mountain, dancing and fireworks at Disneyland, and sand and surf at Newport Beach. Senior trip is not a cheap b u t S v e n t u r e Carson Dunbar Staff Writer enior Trip, two words that strike fear into the pocket Page 8 when considering that it includes fodd costs and covers transportation, and entry fees to all parks, the price becomes all the more reasonable. Many seniors question whether the trip is truly worth it. The trip builds great friendships and provides countless occasions for seniors to grow closer before their high school culmination. This year 120 seniors took part in the Red Bluff High School Senior Trip. Leaving the high school at 4:00am the group made it to Anaheim, where they'd stay at Embassy Suites, at 4:00pm. From their hotel the students headed for the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. Disney land closed to the public at 8:00pm but seniors could stay in the park till 3:00am. During Grad Night seniors enjoyed riding any and all rides while live DJ's set the energy level to this year's best music. The night culminated in the most spectacular display of fireworks that cannot be seen at any other Disney Event. "My favorite part of Disneyland was watching the princesses in Fantasmic and getting teary eyed," said Senior Krista Rodriguez. Day two entailed waking up at 9:00am and heading to Newport beach for a day of relaxing in the sand, playing on the beach, jumping off the pier, and miles of shops with senior discounts galore. At 4:00pm the group left Newport to go get ready for an, anything but elegant, dinner at Medieval Times. Sword fights, jousting, and good old fashion cooking add to a night of crazy fun. Day three wakes the group up at 7:00am for an hour ride to Six Flags Magic Mountain where insane adrenaline rushes, and countless feet of blood curdling roller coaster June 1, 2012 awaits them. From 10:00am until 8:00pm the seniors have free range over the entire amusement park. Goliath boasts a huge free fall, X2 attracts a four hour line with gut wrenching twists and turns, while Tatsu rivals X2 by being equally thrilling but twice as long. After a full day at the park the seniors are ready to board the bus one final time and head back north and ultimately home at 4:00am. The Senior Trip is a memorable close to many's senior year.
