This is a great watch that will leave you satisfied. Not as funny as it seemed to be. Brianna Zotea Staff Writer Arts and Entertainment Page 5 April 29, 2016 Colossal dissappointment. would not reccomend the series. Skyler Drew Staff Writer Hanne Mae Dittner Staff Writer Brooke Blythe Staff Writer 'Jungle Book' satisfies viewers The Jungle Book was recently remade with a modern, realistic take on a classic favorite. As most know, this story is about a young boy named Mowgli who was raised in the jungle by a pack of wolves. This is the only family he has ever had, but he always has a small doubt that he doesn't belong. When an evil tiger Shere Khan claims that the boy should be killed, the one who first found him, Bagheera the panther and the famous bear Baloo played by Bill Murray aim to help him get back to civilization with a few bumps in the road. The realistic, computer generated effects make this action packed film better than you could imagine. You could feel the sadness when the tiger suddenly lashed out on a wolf and threw him off a cliff. There are many heart racing thrills and parts that will scare you out of your seat. When the animals first mention the red flower, you don't know what it means, but l a t e r in the movie it explains that the red f l o w e r i s man's fire. They are scared of it because of Shere Khan's encounter that left his face scarred and they had seen it destroy their family and their homes. For those looking for a new thrill and the classic songs that the first movie brought, this is a must see. There are great messages of teamwork and it truly improves on the cartoon. There are a few parts that may scare young children, so you might want to preview t h e movie if you are planning to take children younger than fourth grade to view it. With the exception of a few violent scenes, this movie was a great thrill that should be seen by any of The Jungle Book fans. This movie is produced by Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, Will Ferrell, and Adam McKay. The director of this movie is Ben Falcone. The Boss is rated R so it is not suitable for children. This movie runs about an hour and 39 minutes long. This movie stars Melissa McCarthy as a fugitive CEO of a prestigious company named Michelle Darnell. Also Kristen Bell as a single mother who was once her assistant named Claire. What happened was Michelle was arrested for insider trading and sentenced to six months. When she gets out of jail she finds herself broke and homeless and most people hate her. Claire ends up being the only person who wants to help Michelle and get her back on her feet. Claire has a daughter and she is in a girl scout group. Michelle goes to one of the meetings and decides that it is unfair that the girls do not get any of the money from selling cookies. What she does is makes a new group selling brownies to where the girls make profit. The adventures these girls go on are really funny and this movie was a catch. The only problem with this new girl scout group is that some old enemies get in the way. This movie was funny. The only thing I did not like was that it was made to seem a lot funnier than it actually was. The movie was good and comical it just was not as funny as they trailers made it seem. Melissa McCarthy is a really great and funny actor. I liked this movie because it was funny and there was a good story line. I also liked that Michelle Darnell thought of and treated the brownie group like a real company it was really funny. Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell did a very good job in this movie. There were some sad parts as always is with Melissa McCarthy but they made the movie that much better. This movie is still in theaters. Go see it today at your local theater. 'Divergent' series still discourages The Divergent Series. The series that took America by storm. The first movie takes place in a futuristic, dilapidated city where you are characterized by your personality. You are put into five 'factions'. These factions include Amity, the peaceful, Dauntless, the fearless, Candor, the honest, Erudite, the intelligent, and Abnegation, the selfless. T h e first movie, Dive rgent , f o l l o w s the story of a lowly Abnegation girl Tris Prior, played by Shailene Woodly, as she figures out who she really is and falls in love with Tobias Eaton (Theo James). I believe that the producers did a decent job following the story-line for this movie. Of course they deviated from the book a little, but that's to be expected. I was a little bummed out about the parts that they cut out; however, the movie itself was a success. Then the second movie, Insurgent, came out. I was extremely excited to see it. I walk in the theater, sit down with a vat full of popcorn and settle in. I was happy. By the end of the movie I wanted to throw up (partially from the overload of popcorn, but mostly from the excruciatingly horrid job the producers did with the movie.) To me, it seemed like they read the book, laughed, and made up their own version of the movie. In the book Insurgent, they tell the story of how Tris and Tobias are 'outlaws' ,how 'Rolling Sky' draws gamers back time and time again Worthwhile app that is very time consuming. If you're looking for that 'one more try' reaction to a game, then Rolling Sky is the perfect go-to. This game was rolled onto the app store on January 20, 2016; it will challenge you, amaze you, and dare you to keep playing. The overall goal of the game is to control your balls on the colorful platforms while going around dangerous obstacles. So basically, don't fall to your death, i.e., you falling off the platforms will result in the game ending and you having to attempt to reach the end portal all over again. It sounds easy right? Well it's not. However, the controls in this game are simple because you just have to slide your finger left and right in order to steer your ball. You do not have to take your finger off the screen which is a stress reliever. The ball moves fast, so you have very little time to see what is coming. Rolling Sky demands your attention as you watch out for dangers, collect gems, and try your best to make it to the end with your quick reactions. There are five different, unique worlds in Rolling Sky that you get to witness one after another. After finishing a world, you get to experience a whole new world that will never let you put your electronic device down. Each colorful world has its own set of almost-impossible challenges, outstanding graphics, and awesome music that never gets annoying. There is also Game Center support so you can get your way up to the leader boards. If you love a challenge, then this game will not fail you. As long as you have patience and fast instincts, then you will have no problem succeeding. Rolling Sky is designed for iPhone and iPad users, and it is available on the App Store for free with an upgrade in- app purchase for $2.99. It is also available for android users on Google Play. Even if you are just completely bored one day, you should give this app a try because it is fun and addictive, but it motivates you to try harder after every lost. It is time consuming but well worth it. Once you start playing it, you will see yourself recommending it to your friends. 'The Boss' was released April 8, 2016 and was directed by Benjamin Falcone. www.dailymail.co.uk "I believe the producers did a decent job folloing the story-line for this movie. " they put together their little band of rebels and team up with unlikely allies. In the movie, they leave out crucial scenes and characters. The producers completely paid no attention to the script. Some movies can pull this off. However, Insurgent could not. I was ready to forget the Divergent series and move on. Then Allegiant was released. I had read all the books prior to seeing this and I was utterly, and completely enthralled and invested in the series. So I put on my big girl pants, forgave Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher (producers) a n d m a r c h e d down to the movie theater. I mean the third movie s u r e l y couldn't be as bad as the second right? Wrong. Dead wrong. This time I thoroughly believe that they put the book through a shredder, burned it, and then buried it under 6 feet of cow manure. They threw the plot to the wind and went from scratch. I was excited to watch it. Now I wish I had never seen it, but some things can't be unseen. Overall, the series went downhill majorly after the first movie. I was/am exponentially disappointed. I wouldn't watch it again if they were the last movies on earth.
