MASQUERADE BALL Prom 2012 For the first time in many years, on May 5, the Red Bluff High School Prom will be themed as a Masquer- ade Ball. The 2012 Prom Queen and Kings Nomi- nees are: April Allwardt, Krista Rodriguez, Lottie Jones, Aaron Vasey, Austin Chase and Mitch Robison. The dance will begin at 9 PM and end at 12 AM. Due to school policy regarding face masks; the theme has been contro- versial for some time in the past. This is sure to be an in- O R Y S T B Y : O N C A R S teresting experience, seeing how many people will partici- pate in the theme. In the past most themes have sim- D U N B A R ply been decoration. This year will have an interactive theme and the atmosphere is guaranteed to be heightened. This year has also come with some controversy over the location of prom. Many students were and still are disappointed with the prom taking place in the gym. In fact, a commit- tee formed over summer to try and find a new location. Unfortunately, the committee turned out with no board approved results. Lottie Jones thinks she was nominated for Prom Queen because she's a good student and she tries to always be on good terms with her teachers. Her ideal prom date is Dave Franco because Krista Rodriguez, thinks she was nominated be- cause she works hard in all her classes. Her ideal Prom date would be Buster Posey because not only the fact he is a rich Gi- ants baseball player, but, he would be a "plea- sure to grind on." Krista has been involved in four years of both softball and basketball, a Connect Crew Mentor, and four years of CSF. Something not many people know about Kris- ta is that she doesn't like giving hugs..."they're awkward." he would make her laugh. Lottie's in- volvement at Red Bluff High includes: Basketball Team four years, Volleyball team for three years, two years of CSF and French Club three years. Some thing that few people are aware of is that Lottie "hate's chocolate". April Allwardt, one of the three girl Prom Nominees, thinks she was nominated be- cause she is a good student and is nice to everyone. Her ideal prom date is James Franco because he is really cute and makes her laugh. April's involve- ment at Red Bluff High in- cludes: CSF, FCA, FFA, Re- lay For Life, Connect Crew, two years of Basketball and four years of Volleyball. Something that people might not know about April is that in the second grade she acci- dentally stabbed herself with a pitchfork while messing around. Austin Chase, thinks he was nominated for Prom King because, for his "class- room performance" in the four years of being a stu- dent at Red Bluff High. But also, because of his dreamy side and because teachers "dig my good looks and style." Austin's ideal prom date would prob- ably be Katherine Hei- gel because she is gor- geous. His involvement at Red Bluff High includes: Editor-In Chief of the Bluff- er, Math & Science Club, Key Club, CSF, RBHS Goes Green, Varsity Soccer, Var- sity Basketball, Varsity Tennis and he is also a NASA As- trobiology intern. Something not many people would know about Austin is that he has ten toes, but four are on the left foot and six are on the right. It makes for an awkward situation when he goes to buy shoes. Aaron Vasey thinks he was nominated for Prom King because he tries his best to be a good guy. His ide- al date to prom is Jessica Taylor because she's crazy-awesome amazing. Throughout his four years at Red Bluff High, Aaron has been involved in several different sports and clubs, but his primary involvement to the school has been being Editor- In Chief for the Bluffer for two years. A random fact about Aaron is that he hates cheese. Mitch Robison thinks he was nominated for Prom King because of his, "overwhelm- ing charm, or maybe it was rigged or something..." When asked about his ideal Prom date he responded, "I would take every girl in the world on a differ- ent night, so they (would) all feel spe- cial. Ha-ha, just kid- ding." Mitch's involve- ment at Red Bluff High School includes: Frosh Football, JV Baseball and Basketball, Varsity Baseball, Basketball and Alpine Team, and Connect Crew. Something random about Mitch is that he thinks the most attractive thing in a girl is laughter. His life motto is, "Forgiveness is me giving up my right to hurt you for hurting me."
