Noah Thomas paced the Spartans with 19 points, including 15 in the second half, while Dawson Sparks added nine points. Andrew Krieg led Pike Central (2-3) with nine points. Eli Coleman and Bren- non Benton added six points and five points, respectively. On Tuesday, Dec. 8, Nathan Hamilton scored 10 points to lead Forest Park to a 43-26 victory over the visiting Chargers. Pike Central, after battling the Rangers to an 8 -8 tie at the end of the first quar- ter, attempted – and missed – five free throws in the second period while be- ing outscored 12-4 to fall behind 20 -12 at halftime. "We came out and handled Forest Park's pressure very well early, attack- ing often, putting us into the bonus in the first quarter," Chargers head coach Josh Roach said. "Unfortunately, we did not make free throws and were unable to capitalize." Christian Benson paced Pike Central with 10 points while Troy Rickard add- ed five points. "It seemed to be the story of the night that even when we did things right, it just did not go our way," Roach added. "It was one of those types of losses where we can learn a lot from the things we did right as well as the things we didn't do right." Pike Central, which hosted North Posey on Tuesday, Dec. 15, will host Princeton on Thursday, Dec. 17.
