April 23rd 2012 Fellowship of Christian Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet Banquet will be held in the Shelby City Park Gym with 2012 Hall of Fame Inductee's and Cleveland County's High School athletic awards presented. The banquet begins at 6:00PM. April 28th Royster Memorial Golf Course Foothill's Merry Go Round Golf Tournament Sign in by 8:30AM with tournament beginning at 9:00AM. Format: Blind draw Based on Individual Handicaps. 4 Person Teams – Plus Skins. Individual Certifi cates for top 3 teams. April 28th & 29th 15th Annual Foothill's Merry Go Round Festival Two big days of affordable family fun at Shelby City Park. He spent his fi rst 8 years as project Coordinator over- seeing the renovation of the Carrousel. He also serves as the Conservation Chairman of the National Carrousel Association. May 12th Fashion & Beauty Show at Holly Oak Park Gymnasium Today's Fashions for the young and old will be held at Holly Oak Park from 7:00PM til 9:30PM on Saturday, May 12th. The public is invited to come and see the latest fashions. May 19th Shelby Gymnastics' Tiny Tots Olympics & Spring Show 9:00AM Tiny Tot Olympics and at 3:00PM Shelby Gymnastics Spring Show will be held in the Shelby Parks & Recreation's Gymnasium. May 26th Shelby Aquatics Center Opens Shelby Aquatics Center opens for the 2012 season on Saturday, May 26th. Hours for the pool are 12:00PM til 6PM. Season Passes will be available along with daily ticket sales. Also, make sure to check out our swim lesson program. June 16th Coveted Fighting Championship Participants from the Carolina's compete in a tough man contest. The bell rings at 6:00PM on Saturday, June 16th in the Shelby Parks & Recreation's Gymnasium. July 4th "July 4th Celebration At The Park" Shelby Parks & Recreation will have their annual July 4th Celebration on Wednesday, July 4th at the Shelby City Park. Activities include: Horse Show Tournament, Corn Hole Tournament, $1 Dollar Day at the Pool from 12PM til 6PM, Carnival Rides in the City Park Gym plus Carrousel & Rotary Train Rides all for a $3.00 Arm Ban from 12pm 'til 4pm. July 19th – 22nd Tar Heel Leagues, Inc.
