2 2015 - Tehama County Medical Guide St. Elizabeth Community Hospital Over a century of tradi on, standards and consisten- cy have led Tehama County's St. Elizabeth Commu- nity Hospital to receive the pres gious Truven 100 Top Hospital Award; for seven consecu ve years. From our humble beginnings of providing care out of a downtown Red Bluff residence, to the two story facility on Sycamore Street, to the groundbreaking on Sister Mary Columba Road, St. Elizabeth has always been commi ed to providing the highest quality, compassionate care available. While change has been part of our history, several things have stayed the same. The first, the level of commitment from our people; our team of doctors, employees and volunteers have not wavered in their service to this community. The second, we have al- ways put our heart into our work. Even with the rain buckets catching water in the hallways so long ago, we have always strived to provide the best possi- ble care to the pa ent and support to their family and loved ones. Now as a part of the Dignity Health system and with the support of our regional partners, Mercy Medical Center Redding and Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, St. Elizabeth Community Hospital has the strength in numbers to offer excep onal care such as the Telestroke program now offered in our Emergency Department. Our hospital has sustained the tradi on of mission and remained grateful to our employees who make up the excep onal caring team who stand to service you. Along with our recogni on as a Truven 100 Top Hospital, we have also been recognized as a Truven Best Place to Work and we hold Five-Star rankings in orthopedics, gastrointes nal surgery and pa ent safe- ty from Healthgrades. We also offer excep onal care in orthopedics, women's health services, laboratory, respiratory therapy, community educa on, health services and imaging surgery. The St. Elizabeth Imaging Center offers a variety of services beyond the common x-ray. Digital mammog- raphy, Breast MRI (magne c resonance imaging), MRI, CT scans, Ultrasound, Dexa Scans, Non-Invasive Vascular Tes ng, and Nuclear Medicine are addi onal services offered. We also offer PET/CT scans. These are used to take a closer look inside the body, which provides a more thorough diagnosis from your phy- sician. To the average pa ent, the news that this test will be done on a 32-slice CT scanner, instead of a 64-slice scanner, doesn't mean much; however, to us it means a scan on our newer machine will take less me and expose you to less radia on. So, if you need imaging services, stay close to home. We are open Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm. Our desire to serve will con nue as we look forward to expanding our services to direct pa ent care in the south county areas and bring wound healing and hyperbaric medicine to our campus. We con nue to recruit specialists to our area to bring access to healthcare closer to home and look forward to assist those who are unfortunately in need. We thank you for choosing St. Elizabeth Community Hospital and Imaging Center, and we look forward to being your provider of choice for the next century. Community Health Has Been And Always Will be Our Priority Todd Smith, President Mercy Medical Center Redding | St. Elizabeth Community Hospital | Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta
