NOMINEES FOR FSA COUNTY COMMITTEE FOR LAA3 Rutherford County USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Dianne Davis reported that 2 nominations were received to be on the ballot for the elec- tion of County Committee mem- ber from LAA 3,that includes the communities of Rutherfordton, Cool Springs, Colfax, Spindale, Forest City, Bostic, Sandy Mush, and Ellenboro. The two nominees were: Larry T. Bailey, current COC member – Mr. Bailey grows soy- beans, hay, pumpkins, and has beef cattle. He resides in Bostic. J Andrew Moss (Andy) – Mr. Moss grows hay, small grains, sudex, and has beef cattle. He resides in Forest City. Ballots will be mailed out to all known eligible voters in LAA3 on November 4, 2011. Voters should vote for only 1 candidate, sign the ballot where indicated, and either bring it by the FSA offi ce or mail to the county offi ce by December 5, 2011. The ballots will be counted by the other two COC members December 12, 2011 @ 9:00 am at the Rutherford County FSA Offi ce. The ballot counting is open to the public. The newly elected Rutherford County Committee member and alternate take offi ce on January 2, 2012.
