"Do not be far from me, for trouble is near, and there is no one to help" (Psalm 22:11). Life can go along pret- ty smoothly until one day something happens to throw us into a spin. It may or may not be something earth shat- tering but at times like these it is so comforting to know that our help is only a prayer away. Life can be pretty un- certain but it's wonderful to know that God is always there for us in His comfort- ing, loving way. We invite you to worship with us. We will have dinner following church services, then singing services with the Faith of Job. Come and enjoy the day. Remember those on our prayer list, the shut-ins and our lost loved ones. The old covenant given to Moses required blood sac- rifices to atone for sin. But there was no one who could keep the entire law without sin. Praise be to God for the gift of His Son Jesus Christ! Without Him, we should still be trying to keep the law and failing miserably. Praise God for a new covenant not written in stone, but writ- ten on our hearts so that we repent to Him, not as a law- keeper, but with total love, de- votion and commitment. The Apostle Paul said he served them with his "whole heart." We can commit to do the same. "The time is coming," de- clares the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Jeremiah," ( Jeremi- ah 31:31). Eddie Willis, Pastor Karri Brock, Reporter saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, "Lord, save me." Immediate- ly Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, "O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? " And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him saying, "Of a truth thou art the Son of God,"(Matthew 14:22-33). Jesus walking on the sea Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship and go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the mul- titudes away, he went up in- to a mountain apart to pray; and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, and tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disci- ples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, say- ing, "It is a spirit;" and they cried out for fear. But Jesus constrained them, saying, "Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid." And Peter said, "Lord, if it be thou, bid me come un- to thee on the water." And he said, "Come." And Pe- ter walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he in Christ. These individuals are living a 'religion' based on violence.
