The grass has been meticulously mowed with impatiens planted in areas between trees too narrow for the blades. Additional peach- and green-colored plants and flowers have been added to complement the bridal party colors. Basically the volume has been turned up on what had already been an out- standing display of flora. "We've always taken a lot of pride in our gardens," Janet said, "so if you had come out here last year, it really wouldn't look too different than how it looks now for the wed- ding. We are meticulous because we enjoy it." The Heberers also have a 45-tree orchard contain- ing apple, cherry, pear and peach trees as well as a nut orchard in which they grow walnuts, but- ternuts, hazelnuts and chestnuts. And let's not forget about the two large vegetable gardens. If it sounds like a lot, it is - so much so, Janet said, that she has forbidden Randy from adding any more gardens even though he thinks the location of a former swimming pool is calling for the plantings. "I might change my mind, but for now, I think we are done," she said. "We like what we have, but I don't want too much more because then we won't have any time to enjoy it!" Gone Gardening Randy and Janet Heberer have spent 25 years perfecting their yard. This weekend, it will be the location of the daughter's wedding. theCottages at CedarRun memory care . 160 beautiful acres . 60 cottage residences arranged in intimate 20-unit neighborhoods .
