DWIGHT BOWEN Mr. Dwight Bowen, 80, of Cleveland County, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011. Services were held at Beaver Baptist Church. Burial with military rites were held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Bowen served his country in the U.S. Army dur- ing the Korean Conflict and in Greenland. Mr. Bowen was preced- ed in death by his parents, Garland Bowen and Nellie Poole Bowen and his broth- ers, Howard and Dean Bowen. Burial followed in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC with militiary honors by the U.S. Military Honor Guard and American Legion Post 243. Mr. Hamrick served our coun- try in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and was also in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Hamrick and Marie Elizabeth Guyton Hamrick; and 1 brother, Joe Hamrick. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sylvia Hamrick of the home; 1 son, Lawrence Reid “Rocky” Hamrick II of Kings Mountain; 2 daughters, Jodie Hamrick Walker and husband Kenny of Bessemer City, and Yvette W. WILLIAM JACKSON DEBRULE Mr. William Jackson DeBrule, age 81, a resident of West Palm Beach, FL, (for- merly of Shelby, NC) passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Services were held at Central United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery. Mr. DeBrule served his country in the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents George Palmer DeBrule and Nellie Head DeBrule and his sister, Libby Debrule Helms. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Butler DeBrule of the home; one son, George Stephen DeBrule and wife, Molly Webb DeBrule of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Elizabeth DeBrule Wilkinson and hus- band, John Michael Wilkinson of West Palm Beach, FL and one sister, Betty DeBrule Pryor of Gastonia, NC; four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Franklin Logan Jr. and Lillie Hogue Logan; his brothers, Ben Hogue Logan, David Franklin Logan, Col. William Joshua Logan and sisters, Lillian Logan Washburn, and Sarah Logan King. He is survived by his loving wife of almost sixty-two years, Marilyn Elliott Logan; his daughter, Angela Logan Lee; son-in-law, David Keith Lee of Danville, Kentucky, and one sister Marianne Logan Walker and one grandson.
