By Andy Heuring Two teens from Evansville and Illinois were arrested on a dead end rural road in Pike County at about 4:53 p.m. on Good Friday. Christy Miller, 19, of 4135 N. Congress Ave., Evans- ville, and David Matier, 18, of 105 Triple S. Road, Har- risburg, Ill., were both ar- rested by Pike County Dep- uty Sheriff Dallas Killian on charges of possession of marijuana, a class A misde- meanor and possession of paraphernalia, a class A mis- demeanor. Deputy Killian said he was on routine patrol on I- 69 when he noticed a car sit- ting at the end of Meridian Road just north of I-69. So he checked on the vehicle. "We have had multiple complaints about drug ac- tivity and illegal dumping at this location," said Killian. He said when he ap- proached the vehicle, he noticed the odor of marijua- na. Deputy Killian said the driver, Miller, admitted they had been smoking marijua- na. Killian and other police assisting him located a small bag which field tested posi- tive for marijuana. He said there were also two juveniles in the vehicle with Miller and Matier. All four were taken into custody.
