"Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (I Timothy 2:4). God is holy. Sin sepa- rates us from God. God's love is always the same. Je- sus went to the cross so we could be saved: believe, ac- cept Him, confess Him as your Savior. Begin a new re- lationship with Christ, read the scripture, pray, walk in obedience, be baptized and unite with a Bible believing church. Jesus died for us...let us live for Him. Thought: Because He lives, we can face all of our tomorrows. Have a great week. Dale Frederick, Pastor Lois K. You are invited to these ser- vices. creation In talking about marriage, Jesus said, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female? For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So, then they are no longer two but one flesh. There- fore what God has joined to- gether, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:4-6). Remember the creator God, "so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" ( John 3:16). I prefer the King James translation here because, if you believe in Jesus, you should not perish. Some translations have shall not perish. Because of this some might claim, "All you have to do to be saved is believe." Remember James tells us, "Even the demons believe and tremble! " ( James 2:19). And Jesus said, "Unless you repent you will all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). The Apostle Paul said, "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed— not only in my presence, but now much more in my ab- sence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12).
