Commodities Distribution - Marion West And West Warren The United States Department of Agriculture Food Services Division provides food distribution to low-income families once per quarter throughout the year. These deliv- eries are known as “Commodities” and are a welcomed and much appreciated program for our seniors at West Warren Manor and Marion West Housing. The food distribution for December was even better than the previous quarters this year because the income eligibility guidelines had changed. The new monthly gross income figure for eligibility has risen to $1805 per month which allowed for all residents to be able to participate in the commodity distribution this quarter. Even better—the food distribution per household was larger than the past 3 quarters. With the difficult economic climate that affects us all these days, the changes in the food distribution pro- gram are truly a blessing for our seniors.
