For the main dish Albrecht's Market in Delafield is the perfect one-stop shop for a full holiday dinner for those individuals who have neither the time nor the desire to cook. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, Albrecht's provides a complete ham or turkey dinner, ready to heat and serve. The full turkey dinner includes a fully cooked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry-orange relish, dinner rolls and two pies. The ham meal includes a fully cooked smoked or honey boneless ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, broccoli rice casserole, rolls and pies. Albrecht's meals are prepared and packaged in-house. A whole meal serves eight to 10 people, but customers can also order half meals that serve four to six people. Albrecht's also offers individual turkey dinners on Thanksgiving Day for anyone who may need to work, but still wants to enjoy some holiday grub. According to Assistant Manager Brenda Trevorrow, Albrecht's only has a certain number of turkeys available each holiday season because they are preordered, but the deli will do everything it can to make sure the customers are provided for. Last-minute orders will be taken upon availability, but with a recommended 24-hour notice. Ham dinners are always available and side dishes can be ordered a la carte. If you are looking for other places to get high-quality a la carte items, Haus of Prime Meats and Deli in Delafield provides a variety of choices including green bean almondine, mashed potatoes, stuffing and turkey gravy. Other holiday treats include dinner rolls, bread cubes for stuffing, coffee cakes and mini pumpkin breads. For Christmas, there will also be a Christmas cookie assortment. If you stop by Albrecht's for a holiday meal, don't forget to check out the bakery. Some of Albrecht's special items include pumpkin cookies with cream cheese icing, white pumpkin cupcakes and a selection of pies. It also offers stollen, a fruit cake containing dried fruit and often marzipan, and fruit cake from Grebe's bakery. If you are just looking for something sweet to take to your holiday hostess, Becky's Blissful Bakery in Pewaukee offers organic, hand-made caramels, free of corn-syrup. According to owner Rebecca Scarberry, her special holiday flavor is salted gingerbread caramel, but other popular flavors include original, dark chocolate sea salt, salted beer and pretzel, and chai tea. Although the Haus of Prime Meats does not provide full, precooked turkeys, it does sell platters of free-range, sliced turkey and prime roast beef. Good Harvest in Pewaukee offers a number of gluten-free a la carte items for holiday gettogethers. In addition to traditional stuffing, it offers glutenfree stuffing and gluten-free mashed potatoes. Some other gluten-free items include: cranberry relish, cranberry orange chutney, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, cinnamon dusted butternut squash and turkey gravy. It also provides gluten-free pumpkin pie, as well as traditional pumpkin pies. For the sweet tooth With more and more individuals going gluten-free, consider trying Molly's Gluten-Free Bakery in Pewaukee. For the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, Molly's offers four types of pies: pumpkin, apple, cherry and blueberry.
