SPINACH SUPREME Charlene Padgett 1 3oz. pkg. lemon gela- tin 1 cup 7-Up 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese 1 box chopped spinach, thawed ½ cup chopped onions 1 cup chopped celery 2 Tbs. lemon juice 1 cup mayonnaise Dissolve gelatin in boil- ing 7-up. In mixing bowl blend softened cream cheese and thawed spin- ach. Combine gelatin and spinach mixtures and add remaining ingredients. Place in 1 ½ quart casse- role and refrigerate until set. Serves 8. LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD Martha Houser 1st layer: Combine 1 head of lettuce, shred- ded, 1 onion, 1 cucum- ber 2nd layer:18 slices cooked bacon pieces 3rd layer: 1 small can green peas 4th layer: ¾ cup mayon- naise 5th layer: 8 slices grated Swiss cheese O.K. to let stand all day or all night in refrigerator. SHRIMP-DEVILED EGG CASSEROLE Marilyn Neisler 2 lbs. green shrimp, uncooked 8 eggs, boiled and deviled Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper Add deviled eggs in bot- tom of greased casserole Make cream sauce 8 tbs. butter 8 tbs. flour ¾ cup grated Cheddar cheese 1 tbs. catsup 2 tbs. chopped parsley 1 t. Worcestershire 1 t. dry mustard 2 one-half pints half and half ¼ cup sherry Add raw shrimp. Place cream sauce. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. BANANA NUT POUND CAKE Sylvia Neisler 1 ½ c. Crisco oil 2 1/2 cups sugar 3 eggs 3 cups sifted plain flour 1 tsp. soda ¾ tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla ½ cup buttermilk or 1 ½ tsp. vinegar with sweet milk 4 bananas, mashed 1 cup chopped nuts 1 cup coconut MIX IN ORDER GIVEN. Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Let stand in pan 10 minutes before re- moving and wrap in foil immediately.
