Selection of Fairest of the Fair is based on person- ality, poise, appearance, community involvement, communication skills, and knowledge of the Waukesha County Fair. Contestants must also reside in Wauke- sha County or participate in a Waukesha County 4-H program. Throughout her reigning year, the Fairest of the Fair participates in parades/events, attends county functions, and speaks at community engagements, schools and clubs.
