Born in Franklin County, NY, he was the son of the late Berton Elwood and Louise Knox LaBarge. He is survived by his wife, Nell Lee LaBarge of the home; brother, Jay LaBarge and wife, Sandy of Syracuse, NY; sister, Cherrie Bourque and husband, Yvan of Watertown, NY; sister-in- law, Ansley Mayes and hus- band, Walter of Cornelius; and brother-in-law, Bill Lee of Charlotte; A service to celebrate Jeff's life was held February 12, 2023 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel in Shelby. Another service will be held in late spring at Myers Park Presbyterian Church, with a celebration to follow. Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center. Born March 16, 1931 in Gastonia, NC, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Willie Mae Kerns Patterson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Gus McIntyre, and her brother, Kenneth Patterson. Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her daughter, Debby McIntyre; son, Terry McIntyre and wife, Suzanne; a grand- son; a great-grandson, all of Shelby; and sisters-in-law, Jackie Greene of Shelby and Judy Patterson of Bessemer City. A celebration of her life was held at Pleasant City Church February 13, 2023. The funeral was conducted by the Rev.'s Bryan Glisson and Gary Marburger. Burial fol- lowed at Cleveland Memorial Park in Shelby. TERESA WARD MINTZ Teresa Ward Mintz, 68, of Blacksburg, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2023. Born in Gaston County, NC, she was the wife of Wayne Mintz and the daugh- ter of Patricia Polk Ward and the late Forest Ward. Surviving Mrs. Mintz in addition to her husband and mother are her son, Joseph Mintz (Savanna); a grand- child; two brothers, Hank and Jeff Ward of Lincolnton, NC; and sister, Schanda Ward of Lincolnton, NC. Mrs. Mintz was preceded in death by her father, and brothers, Mike, Eddie, and Johnny Ward. Memorial services were held February 15, 2023 at Gordon Mortuary, Blacksburg, SC, with the Rev. MAXINE SISK Maxine Sisk, 82, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daugh- ter of the late Fred and Lillian Sisk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Sisk; and sister, Ruth Randall and Frieda Blanton. She is survived by her sister, Norma Henson of Lattimore.
