Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church in Boiling Springs, NC. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Hamrick served our country in the US Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Lois Blanton Hamrick. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Wisher Hamrick; two daughters, Deborah Ramsey Davis of Blacksburg, SC and Susan Eng and husband Robert of Kings Mountain, NC; two brothers, Jack Hamrick and wife Maggie and Jimmy Hamrick all of Shelby, NC; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and great nephews and a niece. Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family. KERMIT LEE HUTCHINS, SR. Mr. Kermit Lee Hutchins, Sr., 95 of Bessemer City, NC passed away on July 24, 2013. Funeral services were held at Sunnyside Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Hutchins served our country in the US Army. He served during WWII where he received the Purple Heart and numerous other medals. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Cunningham Hutchins; his parents, Charles Garfield and Lillie Mae Willis Hutchins; a daughter, Peggy Ann Hutchins Wise; a son, Christian Scott Hutchins; brothers, Spencer Hutchins, John Hutchins, James Hutchins, Quentin Hutchins; and sisters, Mary Lingerfelt, Blanche Lanier, Kathleen Payne, Frankie Downey, and Ruth Ledford. He is survived by his son Kermit L. Hutchins, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Shelby, NC; daughers, Gail Croft and husband Alfred Croft, Jr. of Bessemer City, NC, Vickie Sprinkle of Winston-Salem, NC; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
