Jimmy was born in Rutherford County on Sunday, September 26, 1954 to the late Faye Hardin Hopper. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him; his first wife, Evon Bridges; and stepfather, Joe Hopper. Mr. Bridges is sur- vived by his wife, Michele Bridges; sons, Josh Bridges (Kristy) of Harris and David Bridges (Teri) of Forest City; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Rhonda Bridges of Arkansas. A memorial service was held December 31, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Shane Adkins officiating. PHIL PUTNAM Phil Putnam, 74, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Jack and Willie Putnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Poston Putnam. He is survived by his son, Robbie Putnam and wife Jennifer; daughter, Melissa Huffstetler and hus- BONNIE JEAN HAMRICK Bonnie Jean Hamrick, 78, of Blacksburg, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Born in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Paul James and Omia Yelton Hamrick. Ms. Hamrick is survived by her sons, Marvin Childers and William Lee Hamrick; her brother, William Hamrick (Sue) of Blacksburg; and his two sisters, Patricia Childers of Gaffney and Janice Childers of Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edward Hamrick; her broth- ers, Johnny David Hamrick and Charles James Hamrick; and her sister, Lillie Ann Martin. CHRISTOPHER WAYNE HULSEY Christopher Wayne Hulsey, 60, of Blacksburg, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Kenneth Larry and Patricia McCoy Hulsey. Mr. Hulsey is survived by his son, Andrew Hulsey (Tabitha) of Shelby, NC; two grandsons; and his broth- er, Larry Hulsey (Regina) of York, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Larry and Patricia McCoy Hulsey. No services are planned at the present time. FIRLEEN DAVIS HOLT Firleen Davis Holt, age 97, of Ellenboro, passed away, Monday, December 26, 2022. Firleen was born in Cherokee County, SC on Friday, December 25, 1925 to the late Romeo Davis and Lettie Owens Davis.
