Seeking financial support from his crime-prone adoptive brother (Jake Gyllenhaal, in a terrific character-actor turn), a veteran isn't happy to be drawn into an illegal scheme instead. When that goes haywire, the relatives try to make a getaway by hijacking an ambulance also carrying a paramedic (Eiza Gonzalez) and a policeman who needs treatment. With just about every other cop in L.A. on their trail, much mayhem ensues. Garret Dillahunt and Keir O'Donnell co-star. DVD extras: six "making-of" documentaries. ››› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) "FATHER STU" Mark Wahlberg has one of his most challenging roles of recent years in this drama, the true story of an amateur boxer who survives a major motorcycle mishap and considers how to move forward with the life he barely hung onto ... prompting him to decide to join the clergy. Others including church officials and his own parents (Mel Gibson, Jacki Weaver) have their doubts about Stuart Long's new pursuit, but he refuses to give up on himself and his goal. Malcolm McDowell also stars in writer-director Rosalind Ross' film. DVD extras: "making-of" documentary; deleted scenes. ››› (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) "BILLIONS: SEASON SIX" The Showtime drama series about money and power underwent a major change in this round, with founding cast member Damian Lewis leaving the show and Corey Stoll being upped to star billing as wealthy Michael Prince, who has purchased the hedge-fund firm built by Lewis' Bobby "Axe" Axelrod. The remaining employees hold their collective breath to see what Prince has in store, and apart from his vastly different management style, there are plenty of surprises ... and for the firm's clients, too. Expectedly, Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) is keeping close watch after regaining his power in the legal arena, a quest that eventually brings him to New York's state capital Albany (where some scenes were filmed on location). Piper Perabo joins the cast as Prince's wife, who has her own agenda; Maggie Siff and David Costabile are among other continuing cast members. ››› (Not rated: AS, P) "HACKS: SEASON ONE" Veteran actress Jean Smart –of "Designing Women" and about a zillion other credits – has been a favorite on the award circuit, encompassing a Primetime Emmy win among other honors, for this edgy HBO Max series. She plays a Las Vegas comedian whose career has stalled, prompting her to take on a young writer (Hannah Einbinder, daughter of "Saturday Night Live" alum Laraine Newman) who hopefully can give her the material she needs to stay relevant. Recurring cast members include Kaitlin Olson ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"), Christopher McDonald and Jane Adams; the show is now in its second season. ››› (Not rated: AS, P) (Also on Blu-ray) "RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK" After being released together in a 4K Ultra HD set, the big-screen adventures of Indiana Jones get individual Steelbook debuts in that format over the next several months ... appropriately starting with the 1981 blockbuster from director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas that introduced the archeologist and adventure played by Harrison Ford. Jones is reunited with old flame Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) while seeking a potentially lethal relic that makes him a target of rivals and Nazi soldiers; Denholm Elliott, John Rhys-Davies and (in his first major movie role) Alfred Molina also star in the film, which encompasses a number of scenes that have become iconic. The stirring music score is by John Williams. ›››› (PG: P, V) "MORBIUS" Marvel characters often are deeply conflicted, and that's certainly the case for the title figure played by Jared Leto in this adventure-drama. Carrying a rare blood disorder, Michael Morbius takes a huge gamble in seeking a cure for himself and others who have the condition. The result turns him into a vampire, and while trying to solve his own dilemma, he also has to contend with how his research is being used by his surrogate brother (Matt Smith). Adria Arjona, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson also are featured – and stay through the end credits for a surprise appearance by a major star reprising his role in the Marvel series of movies. DVD extras: two "making- of" documentaries. ››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) Jared Leto in "Morbius" "I think our writers' ability to shift story, to capture what was really happening, really helped us as actors to adjust to what was an extremely scary time for the world. It's traumatic when you think about what we all went through and what we're still going through, and that trauma was then shown onscreen with these characters adjusting to a new normal." – Simone Missick of "All Rise" on OWN, about how the show dealt with the coronavirus pandemic early on " to w r to e w y a w a s c n M O d p "She can be so precise at work, so sharp and careful about how she behaves ... and then when she's at home, she's a little bit of a tornado. It's her place to unwind, her shelter, where she can do whatever she wants to do. And she really goes all-in on that." – Melissa Joan Hart, seen recently in "Dirty Little Secret" on Lifetime, on her hoarder character in the film " a c b w a It h d to g M s L o i 812-446-2636 Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
