Johnson receives summons for possession By James Capozella The stop of a speeding sil- ver Mustang on CR200 N near Church Street by Indiana State Trooper John Davis re- sulted in a marijuana posses- sion summons for Adelynn G. Johnson, 19, 1750 E CR 550N, Petersburg. Trooper Davis observed the Mustang going 60 in a 35 mph zone and stopped Johnson just short of the Dubois County line according to the report. Davis asked for license and registration but more con- cerned about the odor of raw Marijuana coming from in- side the vehicle according to the report. Johnson told Davis there was no Marijuana inside but after several responses to his question, Johnson said there was a ziplock baggie. Davis also found a prescrip- tion bottle testing positive. Johnson was issued a sum- mons and released from the scene according to the report. Sweatt issued summons for suspended prior By James Capozella Carolyn Denise Sweatt, 20, 2327 Shriver Ave. Indianapo- lis, was given a verbal warn- ing for speeding and a license plate light violation and sum- moned to court for driving while suspended by Sheriff Deputy Bryce Manning. Sweatt was clocked at 82 mph on I69 near the 45.5 mile marker on Saturday. A passen- ger in Sweatt's Honda admit- ted to having three small burnt cigarettes in the back set. Officers Clint Boger and Zach Loveless arrived to as- sist in a search of the vehi- cle. Sweatt was advised that a summons would be sent in the mail to her address and fail- ure to show up could result in a warrant for her arrest. Taya- na Davidson, a licensed pas- senger in the car was to take over the driving. All three were released from the scene. House of Mercy estate sale A large yard sale from the estate of Daniel R. Neu- kam was held last Saturday at the House of Mercy Fellowship Hall. Jennifer Bruce, her husband Rob and nine year old Rolon filled the hall to overflow- ing with household goods, shelving, furniture, tools, kitchenware and lots of miscellaneous. Daniel Neu- kam was involved in 4-H shooting sports as an in- structor and Jennifer Bruce donated a great num- ber of items for use by the Pike County Bird Hunters Club. James Capozella photo.
