She was born in Gaston County, NC, daughter of the late Thomas William and Willie Beach Jones and was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Alfred Norwood; her sisters, Ruth and Leona; and her brother, Garth. She is survived by her sons: Roy A. Norwood and wife Loretta, Seneca, SC, and Michael O. Norwood and wife Penny, Kings Mountain, NC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services was held April 19, 2022 at Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Gwyn officiating. Interment was at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC. JUDY EAKER AUVIL Judy Eaker Auvil, 65, of Dacula, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Born in Cleveland County, on February 20, 1957, she was a daughter of the late James "Jim" Lee Eaker and Bertha Jane Ramey Eaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a son, Jed Auvil and two broth- ers Fred Eaker and Norman Eaker. She is survived by her husband, Michael Edward Auvil, son, Bill Auvil and wife Shana of Pinehurst; daughter, Adrienne Auvil and husband Jimmy Fowler Services, Kings Mountain, NC. RODNEY SKYLER DEATON Rodney Skyler Deaton, age 25, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Born December 19, 1996 in Cleveland County, Skyler was the son of Lisa Deaton Porter Hendrick and Terry Scott Hendrick. He is also survived by a brother, Jonathan Blake Deaton and a sister, Baylee Nicole Hendrick, both of Shelby, NC; and his grand- parents. Skyler was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Steve Deaton. A funeral service was held April 22, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services conduct- ed by Rev. Keith Dixon. BARBARA LORIANE DIXON MORRA Barbara Loriane Dixon Morra, 76, of Cherryville, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Born in Gaston County, on June 18, 1945, she was a daughter of the late James Garfield Dixon and Nellie Elizabeth Mack Dixon. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James J. Morra; son-in-law, Grady McDaniel; five brothers, Tom Dixon, James Dixon, Jr, Lee Dixon, Charles Dixon, and Alvin Dixon; and three sisters, Betty Hayes, Irene Franklin and Judy Bolin. She is survived by her son, Joe Midgett and wife, Jennifer of Advance; three daughters, Lisa McDaniel of Fallston; Lori Bingham and husband, Shannon of Fallston, and Leslie Sellers and husband, Greg of Cherryville; sister, Jeanette Grant of Gastonia; eight grandchildren; and a of Dacula, GA; sister, Mary Murray of Lawndale; and two grandchildren.. Keith Reid Morrow, Sr., 89, of Shelby, NC passed away on April 13, 2022. Mr. Morrow was born on September 18, 1932 in Shelby. He was a son of the late Reid Edward Morrow and Bessie Green Morrow. Mr. Morrow served our country in the U.S. Air force during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Morrow; brothers Don Morrow, Tye Morrow, and Bob Morrow; half-sister Jackie Capps, a grandson; and his wife, Brenda Hord Morrow. He is survived by his sons, Keith Morrow, Jr. of Moreno Valley, CA and Michael Morrow of Bakersfield, CA; daughters, Kathleen Weaver of Bakersfield, CA, Linda Allison of Denver, CO, Laurie Clark of Fresno, CA, and Patricia Townsend of Lompoc, CA; stepdaughter Pamela Proctor and stepson Michael Richards; brothers Mic Morrow of Nashville, TN, and Van Morrow of Spartanburg, SC; and six- teen grandchildren and twen- ty-eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held April 20th, 2022 at Sunset Cemetery, with full military rites. ANGUS ROBERT MCBAIN Angus Robert McBain, 68, of Blacksburg, passed away on Saturday, April 16th, 2022. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the husband of Elaine Williams McBain and the son of the late Angus Robert McBain Sr. and Elenore Josephson McBain. In addition to his wife, Mr. McBain is survived by his children: Jennifer McBain of Connecticut; Ben McBain and partner, Samantha of New York; John McBain and partner, Samantha, of South Carolina; Matt McBain of South Carolina; Rob Proulx and wife, April, of New Mexico; David Proulx of New Mexico, and Jason Proulx of South Carolina; his sister, Thoralil and Michael Fusaro of Griswold, Connecticut; and sisters-in law and brothers-in- law, Ellen Williams, Audrey and Evert Q., and David Williams, all of Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nanna Beth Gladden of Gorham, Maine, and brothers-in-law, Don Williams and John Paul Scott. JAMES COOKE WILSON James Cooke Wilson, 86, of Shelby, NC, passed away on April 18, 2022 at White Oak Manor in Shelby, NC. He was born in Sullivan County, TN, son of the late Pete and Elizabeth Cooke Wilson and was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Huffman Wilson; and his second wife, Jane Gilreath Wilson. Mr. Wilson served our country in the US Navy. He is survived by his daughter, Libby Stone (Scott), Shelby, NC; two grandchildren; siblings: Ray Walker (Lucy), Fort Lauderdale, FL, Bob Wilson (Betty), Shelbyville, KY, and Scottie Yarbro, Kings Mountain, NC; and broth- er-in-law, Calvin Huffman (Donna), Blacksburg, SC.
