Williams spends a lot of time at the library and looks forward to the proj- ects planned by Rhea Turner, Teen/Adult Services Coordinator and Library Assistant. Turner also helps Williams pick out new books on a regular basis since she enjoys reading so much. "I need another book," Williams said to Turner with a smile. AREA HAPPENINGS The Patoka River National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Patoka River NWR, Inc., would like to an- nounce a special event at the Cane Ridge Wildlife Manage- ment Area to celebrate migratory birds on April 28. Refuge staff and volunteers will be on site from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Central Time. Participants may come by anytime during that time window, starting at the observation deck parking lot. Ex- perienced birdwatchers and Refuge staff will be located at these areas to assist with bird identification and discuss bird migration, habitat management and Refuge regulations. No formal programs or presentations will be made, just a casu- al opportunity to view birds and visit with Refuge staff, vol- unteers and other birding enthusiasts.
