Rejected by virtually everyone he comes back to, he's surprised to find possible salvation in a young donut-shop waitress (Suzanna Son). Bree Elrod also is featured. DVD extras: "making-of" documentary; audio commentary by Baker, Rex, cinematographer Drew Daniels and movie critic Kat Ellinger. ››› (R: AS, N, P) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) "AMERICAN EXPERIENCE: RIVETED – THE HISTORY OF JEANS" In case you didn't know there's quite a story behind the pants you might wear casually, think again ... as this recent episode of the long-running PBS series confirms. Blue jeans had a place in the Old West as the preferred attire of cowboys seeking comfort as they did their work on the range, but in more modern times, they have become the stuff of high fashion (and, often, high price tags). Designers, models and experts in couture are among those who comment on the changing status and significance that jeans have had over a wide span of time. ››› (Not rated) "SHOOTER" One of Mark Wahlberg's most popular movies, a near-constant staple on cable, this 2007 action-adventure comes to 4K Ultra HD. The star plays Bob Lee Swagger, a military-veteran sniper who's set up to be the patsy in a U.S. government-related assassination conspiracy ... something he doesn't take kindly, prompting him to turn the tables on those who would have left him to take the fall. Michael Pena, Danny Glover, Kate Mara, Rhona Mitra and Elias Koteas also are in the cast of the Antoine Fuqua- directed drama, which yielded a television series. ››› (R: AS, N, P, GV) "HEAD OF THE CLASS: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON" There's a bittersweet feel to this round of the original version of the sitcom about gifted students and their teacher, given the recent passing of star Howard Hesseman. His character Charlie had a TV-series- ready gathering of diverse pupils including self-involved Darlene (Robin Givens), math master Arvid (Dan Frischman) and computer whiz Dennis (Dan Schneider). With a two- part episode set at Houston's Johnson Space Center, this was "WKRP in Cincinnati" alum Hesseman's last year on the show; he opted to leave and was replaced in the fifth and final season by Billy Connolly. A remake of the comedy recently ran on HBO Max. ››› (Not rated) "THE BOY BEHIND THE DOOR" Originally shown on the streaming service Shudder, this melodrama features Lonnie Chavis – one of the younger incarnations of Randall on television's "This Is Us" – as one of two youngsters kidnapped while en route back home after school. Chavis' character manages to escape, but surrounded by unfamiliar terrain, he has no idea whether he'll have the necessary stamina to keep going before his mysterious nemesis can recapture him. Ezra Dewey and Kristin Bauer van Straten ("True Blood") also appear. ››› (Not rated: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray) "WEST SIDE STORY" The darling of the Academy Awards for 1961, this enduring musical could do it again this year, thanks to the seven current Oscar nominations – including best picture and director – for Steven Spielberg's excellent remake, the veteran filmmaker's first effort in the genre. Ansel Elgort and newcomer Rachel Zegler play Tony and Maria, the young lovers whose romance is threatened by the opposing New York gangs they're associated with in the late 1950s. Ariana DeBose is Oscar-nominated as Anita, the character that brought the honor the first time to Rita Moreno ... who's seen here in another role, and also is an executive producer. The script is by celebrated playwright Tony Kushner, and the legendary Stephen Sondheim- Leonard Bernstein score includes "Tonight," "Somewhere," "America," "Maria," "I Feel Pretty" and "Something's Coming." DVD extras; 13-part "making-of" documentary; direct musical-number access. ›››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, Digital and On Demand) Rachel Zegler in "West Side Story" "Knowing that Courteney was playing it, and then getting the honor to see Courteney work ... like, Courteney is so adept. She has the perfect comedic timing, always. Her delivery on everything is so good, and yet she's so real." – Mira Sorvino of "Shining Vale" on Starz, on working with Courteney Cox on the show " C i h w i p a o g r o S C s "It's a different kind of skill to work with your entire body sort of covered in prosthetics. Yeah, I didn't know that that was a skill that I didn't have. So, every day, it was learning. It took about four hours (each day) to start." – Renee Zellweger of "The Thing About Pam" on NBC " s e c Y t d d to ( R " o 2 x 4" ad Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
