Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Franklyn William Oberle Sr. and Elda Palmer Oberle. Mr. Oberle served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandpar- ents; and brother, Judson Bingham Oberle. He is survived by his wife, Annie Elrod-Oberle; daugh- ter, Shellby Lee Guffey and husband, Joey of Shelby; sons, William Perin Oberle and wife, Chelsea of GA, Shawn Michael Lee and wife, Rebecca of Conover and Darin James Lee and wife, Talitha of Granite Falls; brother, Robert Bruce Oberle and wife, Charlene of Huntersville; fifteen grand- children; and three great grandchildren. He was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Burley Edward Strickland and Dovie Alberta Putnam Strickland. He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny Strickland and first wife, Georgia Mae Davidson Strickland. Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Mary Collins Strickland, Kings Mtn. NC; daughter: Sherry Shipton, Kings Mtn. NC; brother, Reid Strickland, Kings Mtn. NC; nine grandchildren and thir- teen great grandchildren. Born in Cleveland County, on December 17, 1952, he was a son of the late Robert Hubert Ramsey and Ferne Farris Ramsey. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Ramsey. He is survived by two sons, Billy Ramsey (Cynthia) of Shelby and Scottie Ramsey (Brandy) of Lawndale; two brothers, Charles Ramsey (Mitzi) of Fallston, Tommy Ramsey (Patty) of Belwood; two sisters, Sarah Earwood (Randy) of Lawndale and Evon Davis (David Tessneer) of Lawndale; ten grandchil- dren; and one great grand- child The funeral service was held August 20, 2021 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel. Louise was born in Cleveland County on April 16, 1926, the daughter of Peter Marion Mauney and Mamie Ferol Hord Mauney. Louise was preceded in the death by her husband, Julian Campbell; daugh- ter Judy Hamrick (Wayne); her sisters: Vangie Sauls, Kathleen Mauney, Helen DeLois, Thelma Costner; and her brothers: Charles, Hugh, Pete Jr, Joe, and Jim Mauney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Hoyle Beam; a granddaugh- ter; brothers, Joe Hamrick, Tom Hamrick, Kesler Hamrick, Scott Hamrick and Glenn Hamrick; and two sisters, Velva Hamrick and Louise Harris. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Clifton Oates and the late Elsie Raper Oates. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents; one son, William Guest; his siblings Blanche Oates, Lee Oates, Max Oates, Walter Oates Sr.; and a sister-in-law Sallie Oates. Born in Cleveland County on July 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Carl Wray and Annie Gantt Wellman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings, Christopher Wellmon, Dennis Wellmon, and Joy Wellmon Gold and a son, James Lee Barrett. Kathy is survived by her husband, Hubert Barrett; a brother, Mike Wellmon; a daughter, Janice Elmore; two grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
