Born in Cleveland County, NC on July 20, 1973, he was the son of the late Ralph Franklin Walker and Sadie Ruth Reep Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Edward Walker. Survivors include his sons, Dillon Walker of Casar and Bruce Wade Walker of Casar; a brother, Keith Walker of Casar and eight grandchildren. Born in Boiling Springs, NC, she was first married to the late Richard (Buddy) Arrowood, the widow of the late William Barry Potter, and the daughter of the late Raymond Leander Hamrick and Eula Mae Humphries Stephanie Houser and Jason Bailey of Shelby and Rhonda Sparks of Belmont; three brothers, Hugh Lee Sparks of Polkville, Roy Lee Sparks of Lattimore, and Kenny Sparks of Shelby; sister, Dorothy McDaniel of Kings Mountain and six grandchildren. The funeral service was held August 14, 2021 at Big Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Scott and Rev. Jim Richardson officiat- ing. He was born April 13, 1933 in Lincoln County to the late Roland Palmer and Eva Georgiann Hoyle Haynes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great grandson; and sib- lings and their spouses, Roy Haynes (Frances), Raleigh Haynes (Lois), Raymond Haynes, Herman Haynes (Sue), Carl Haynes (Linda), Elena Black (Will), Ola Mae Kampmann (Dean), and Madge Houser (Ben). Survivors include his wife, Hester Martin Haynes; sons, Chester Haynes and wife, Becky, Stan Haynes and wife, Donna, and Dal Haynes and wife, Christine; daughter, Vanessa Gantt and husband, George; brother, Hoyle Haynes and wife, Jo Elaine; sisters-in- law, Kathryn Haynes, Shirley Gunn, Doris Jackson, Marie Jones, and Ruby Dethmann; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Born in Cleveland County, on November 21, 1950, he was a son of the late Lester Sparks and Vada Brackett Sparks. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Garland Sparks, Ralph Sparks, Bobby Sparks, Leonard Sparks and Johnny Sparks. He is survived by his wife, Jean Watts Sparks; three children, Christopher Sparks and wife, Katie of Shelby, REBECCA ANN BROOKS WALLACE Rebecca Ann Brooks Wallace, age 89, passed away Tuesday August 10, 2021. Born in Cleveland County on June 2, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John B. and Vertie Greene Brooks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Reeves "Chick" Wallace; one broth- er, Carl "Bud" Brooks and a granddaughter. Becky is survived by her three daughters, Debra Neill and husband Jim, Lynn Turner and hus- band Jonathan and Karen Wallace, all of Boiling Springs.
