Never be ashamed to ask for help.... especially if you require incontinent or nutritional supplies! As people age, their needs are constantly changing. The physical changes as we age almost always require special attention. For many, that includes chang- es in appetite and personal care habits. Of course, this calls for supplies to assist with nutritional and incontinence needs. However, these items, expensive as they are, typically are an issue for an older person's budget. The Neal Center has an assistance program for these needs. Whether the need is for nutritional supplements (such as the nutritional beverage, "Boost"), or incontinent supplies (such as "Pull-Ups"), a phone call to the Neal Center is the answer to these needs. To determine eligibility for these programs, you must call the Neal Center to arrange for an appointment. Appointments are available from 11:30AM-2:30PM, Monday through Thursday. To set up an appointment, please call the Neal Center at 704/482-3488. THE NEAL CENTER IS HAVING A "SOFT OPENING" ON MONDAY, MAY 3RD, at 9AM The center will begin with limited activities on Monday, May 3, 2021. If things go well, smaller classes will be added around four to six weeks after opening. In addition to these limited activities, the center will continue offering virtual activities, virtual classes, and "drive-thru" events. Hopefully, larger events will be added in July 2021. The center will be open to participants from 9AM-3PM, to allow for cleaning before and after. Masks will be required, except where noted. No congregating in the lobby or halls will be permitted.
