Mr. Franklin was born in Lincoln County to Linda Faye Queen Franklin and the late Billy Joe "Bill" Franklin. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Hope Franklin of Cherryville; two sons, Billy Joe "BJ" Franklin of Lincolnton (Frances B Franklin) and Seth Paul Franklin of Shelby (Paula Bowman); one granddaugh- ter; one sister, Carla Hoyle of Huntersville. A memorial service was held April 3, 2021 at Revival Tabernacle Church in Stanley, NC. A private burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. CASEY PAUL OWENS Casey Paul Owens, 53, of Shelby, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Born in Cleveland County, NC on January 23, 1968, he was the son of the late Larry Gene Owens and Jacqueline Elaine Ross Pierce. Survivors include his wife, Lori Smith Owens; a son, Seth Owens of the home; a daughter, Taylor Anne Owens of the home; a broth- er, Chaynce Richard Pierce of Panama City Beach, FL; and a sister, Tina Jo Anthony of Panama City Beach, FL. EARL "TOM" THOMAS SULLIVAN Earl "Tom" Thomas Sullivan, age 95, passed away March 27, 2021. Born in Dayton Ohio on March 9, 1926 he was the son of the late Charles Herbert and Minnie Lehre Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan served our country in the US Navy during WWII. He is also pre- ceded in death by a daughter, Kimberle Friedman (Mark), two broth- ers Harold and Charles Sullivan, and one sister Betty Sharp. Tom is survived by a daughter, Melody Gamble (Larry); one grandson and two great-granddaughters. A graveside service with military honors took place on March 31, 2021 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in his hometown of Dayton, OH. Vera was born in Belwood, on September 26, 1928, to Ambrose G. Boyles and Mittie Norman Boyles. He was born on January 10, 1959 in Cleveland County to Charles and Laura Jamerson. Left to cherish his fond memories are his par- ents, Charles and Laura Jamerson; one son, Marco A. HANNAH MATHIS CAPPS Hannah Mathis Capps, 70, of Blacksburg, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021. Born in Gastonia, she was the widow of Michael Capps and the daughter of the late William and Wilda Eartzburger Haskett. RICKY "RICK" RAY LaMOUNTAIN Ricky "Rick" Ray LaMountain, age 70, passed away on March 26, 2021. Born in Gaston County on June 26, 1950 he was the son of the late Raymond Phillip LaMountain and wife Kathleen Rosa Robertson LaMountain. Mr. LaMountain served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters; Joyce Gilliam and Mary Jo Sides. Rick is survived by his wife, Terry Franklin LaMountain of the home, two sons; David Ray LaMountain of Grover, Larry Gene McCurry and wife Lisa of Shelby; and one daughter, Kathleen "Nikki" Ledford and husband Chris of Boiling Springs; one sis- ter, Corina Patterson and husband, Rodney of Shelby; and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
