STEVE DUDLEY MARTIN Steve Dudley Martin, 67, of Blacksburg, passed away January 2, 2021, at Cherokee Medical Center. Born in Cherokee County, he was the widower of Brenda Huskey Martin and the son of the late Mildred Peterson Martin. Mr. Martin is survived by four sons, Michael Martin (Jalene), Bobby Martin, Jeremy Martin (Lolly), and Jeff Martin (Beth); two brothers, David Martin and Charles M. Martin; one sis- ter, Linda Childers; twelve grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services were held January 6th, 2021 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC with Rev. Eddie Hardin officiat- ing. Interment followed at Lighthouse Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, dona- tions can be made to MILES ERVIN LINEBERGER Miles Ervin Lineberger, 80, of Kings Mountain, joined our loving Creator January 3, 2021, at Atrium Cleveland in Shelby, NC. He was born in Dallas, NC, to the late Graham and Sarah Lineberger. A daughter Karen Lineberger and stepson, Chandler Thornburg, and sisters Margaret Troutman and Eleanor Flowers also pre- ceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Lineberger. Also, surviving are his two sons, Todd (Tammy) Lineberger of Cornelius, NC, and Joel (Nikki) Lineberger of Hickory, NC; three daughters, Donna (Jim) Longwith of Rock Hill, SC, Sharon (Karl) Melcher of Canton, GA, April (Gannon) Berg of Hickory, and eight grandchildren. Due to the pandemic, the family has decided to hold a Celebration of Life ser- vice at First Baptist Church in Kings Mountain in early Spring when people can safely gather. MARGARET ELAINE WACASTER BALDREE Margaret Elaine Wacaster Baldree, passed away January 3, 2021 at Testa Hospice House in Kings Mountain. Born in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin Wacaster and Carrie Williams Wacaster. In addition to her par- ents she was preceded in death by her husband J.D. Baldree and one sister Ruth Wacaster Toms. Margaret is survived by two sons, Daniel Baldree of Charlotte and David Baldree of Orlando, FL, two grand- children, and three great- grandchildren. A private funeral service was held with only family in attendance. A memorial service will be planned for a future date. BETTY JEAN FITE Betty Jean Fite, 85, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away January 02, 2021 at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, NC. She was born in Rutherford County, NC, daughter of the late Fred and Verda Smart Bowen and was preceded in death by her husband Charles "Virgil" Fite. Betty was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Rena Fite and two brothers, George and Winford Bowen. She is survived by a son Byron Keith Fite and wife, Selena, Kings Mountain, two grandchildren: a sister: Brenda Dover and husband Jerry, Kings Mountain. Funeral services were held January 6, 2021 in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Greg Neely and Chaplain Keith Fite offi- ciating. Interment was at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
