Bridges Ms. Delsie Clayton Harriette Beam Mr. & Mrs. Donald Bingham Paul & Lois Rupe Pete & Ann McSwain The Neal Center has served so many in need, so… OUR FOOD PANTRY IS NEARLY EMPTY! PLEASE HELP US REFILL IT! Thank you to everyone in the community who answered the call in supporting the Neal Center's food pantry and "Meals-on-Wheels" program with your monetary and food donations! Currently, we are in need of these items for our homebound: Vienna sausages, miniature canned hams, salmon, beef stew, corned beef, saltine crackers, canned fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable pasta, spaghetti sauce, rice, noodles, cereal and oatmeal. Please be sure that the items being donated are well within their expiration dates on the item. Items donated to the center that have expired cannot be given out. We are unable to accept refrigerated items. If you'd prefer making a cash donation, it would be very welcome! When writing your check, be sure to indicate that your donation is for "The Food Pantry". While our facility is still closed to the public, we are able to accept donations, Monday – Thursday, from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm. Please call us at 704-482- 3488 to arrange a time to drop off your donation. Just because Christmas is over, it doesn't mean the end of hunger! Though they were cancelled last year….. let's give the Cleveland County Senior Games/SilverArts another try this year! There will be some changes this year, but the plan to have the games is still on at this time! Due to COVID-19, it was decided to not have our traditional "kick- off" as in years past. If you have been a previous participant in either the Senior Games or SilverArts, you will be emailed an updated 2021 Senior Games Information & Registration packet when they are available. If you aren't sure that your email address is in the Neal Center database, or would like to be added to the email list, please contact Daniel Dedmon at ddedmon@ agingcouncil.org or call 704/481-7387. More information will be provided about the games when it becomes available! WINTER WEATHER INFO FROM "THE NEAL CENTER" Winter weather is here! In case of snow, ice, sleet, or freezing rain, call the Neal Center's "Weather Line" to see if we are open, delayed or closed. Call 704/481-7398 and the information will be updated as conditions change. 139 E.
