CLEVIE WHISNANT SPANGLER Clevie Whisnant Spangler, age 100, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Oct 23, 2020 and to be with her beloved late husband, Ralph R. Spangler. Born in Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Nettie Warlick Whisnant. In addition to her husband and her parents she was predeceased by her daugh- ter-in-law, Ginger Spangler, a granddaughter, Abigail Spangler; and her twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by a son, Ronald Spangler; two daugh- ters, Margie Christopher and her husband, Stephen and Mary Ann Lattimore and her husband, Dobbin all of Cleveland County; four grandchildren; Beth Sibley of Charlotte, Josh Spangler and wife Brooke of Charlotte, Katie Earl and fiancé Daniel Shires of Double Shoals, Elizabeth Kurdewan and her husband Ryan of Raleigh and four great grandchildren; Bryce and Taylor Spangler of Charlotte, and Cooper and Parker Earl of Double Shoals; sister-in-law Maude Whisnant; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Sullivan County, TN on August 14, 1943 she was the daughter of the late George K. Hagy and wife Margaret Neal Hagy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Plank Jr.; infant daughter, Deborah Jean; and six sib- lings, William Hagy, Jean Greeson, Geraldine Craft, James Hagy, Peggy Worley and George "Lewis" Hagy. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Milous and Pearl; her hus- band, Samuel Gardner; and two sisters, Vernisha Rose White (Detroit) and Hilda Moore (Troutman). She is survived by her sister, Iris (Martin) Koonce of Greensboro, NC; her daugh- ters, Regina Ann Moore (Milton) of Raleigh, Arevia Nero (Spaniel) of Charlotte, Cassandra Henderson (Melvin) of Fayetteville, and IRVIN "BOB" EARL CHADWICK Irvin "Bob" Earl Chadwick, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Massachusetts on December 12, 1934 he was the son of the late Fredrick "Fred" Chadwick and Claudia Boyer Chadwick. In addition to his par- ents he was preceded in death by two children; Karen Rae Chadwick and Tammy Chadwick Canipe, two brothers; Freddie and Raymond Chadwick as well as two sisters, Lee Paull and Dorothy Chadwick. He was born in Dunn, NC to the late Harold Quincy and Mary Gardner (Pate) Edgerton.
