Born in Manhattan, New York on September 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Smith and Mildred Boles Hausner. Allan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lorraine Kearney Hausner; two sons, Patrick Hausner and Alex Hausner both of New York; a daughter, Michelle Decanio of New York; six grand- children, Melissa Decanio, Thomas Decanio, Madison Acosta, Macy Acosta, Jana Acosta, Paulina Acosta; a great grandson, Mason Portillo. Funeral service was held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with Captain Jonathan Raymer officiating. FREDERICK (FRED) J. MALEK SHELBY - Frederick (Fred) J. Malek age 60 passed away peacefully on September 29, 2020 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. He was born July 11, 1960 in Boston, MA. He is predeceased by his father, Frederick Malek, Sr. of Providence, RI and moth- er, Veronica Sharbuno of Las Vegas, NV, a step-son, John Tucker and a sister, Cheryl Cavanaugh. He is survived by his fiance' Angela McClintock of Shelby, NC; son, Frederick (Freddy) Malek, II of Providence, RI; sisters, Leonie Malek of Providence, RI and Patricia Butler of Las Vegas, NC; brother, Billy Malek of Providence, RI; step-daughters, Amy McClintock and Ashley McClintock of Shelby, NC; step-son, Daniel Tucker of Shelby, NC. A small Private Memorial service was held at the home of Angela McClintock, Shelby, Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM to Reminisce, Grieve and Support each other. MILDRED FLYNN DIXON Mildred Flynn Dixon, 89, of Kings Mountain, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 17th, 2020 at Hospice House Wendover. Born August 14, 1931 in Bessemer City and Keith Barrett of Gastonia; daugh- ters, Kimberly Walker of Bessemer City, Karen Booth and husband, Dale of Gastonia and Crystal Beaver and husband, Billy of Gastonia; brothers, Harry Barrett and wife, Cathy of Shelby and Jerry Barrett of Kings Mountain; sister, Judy Bowen and husband, Dean of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Memorial service was held Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Odell Cook officiating. A private fam- ily interment will be held at Mountain Rest. Born in Cleveland County on July 27, 1930, Lena was the daughter of the late Bezola and Malena Bue Hamrick. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Howard McSwain, a broth- er, Everette Hamrick, and five sisters, Alma McSwain, Thelma Hoyle, Irene Padgett, Frances Barber, and Mildred Reynolds. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Jones Ware, as well as two sisters, Polly Phifer (Menzell) and Virginia Stone (W.F.), and two brothers, Walter Ware (Melba Ruth) and Mike Ware, a daugh- ter-in-law, Sandra Hendrick Ware, a sister-in-law, Stella Ware, and two brothers-in- law, Robert Jones (Betty) and Allen Jones (Sonja). Mr. Ware served our coun- try in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
