She was born on September 23, 1956 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Arthur Eaves, Sr. and Lizzie Lee Dawkins Eaves. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Arthur Jr. and Belvin Eaves), and one sister (Dorothy Eaves Lowe). She leaves to mourn two daughters; Calandra Hopper McKnight (Curtis) of Lawndale, NC; Renata' Hopper of Shelby, NC; one adopted son, Titus Hopper (Michelle) and is survived by four grandchildren, MiShayla Hopper, Hassiem McKnight, Johari McKnight and Te'Laiyah Byers; one brother; Franklin Eaves, of Atlanta, GA; five sisters; Martha Eaves Winston, of Shelby; Emma Eaves McGill Roseboro, MD; Barbara Eaves Jackson of Raleigh; Brenda Eaves Moses (Alvin) of Shelby; and Alma Eaves Jackson (Kenneth) of Shelby; one sister-in-law; Wanda Eaves Guest, of Shelby, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Ms. Hopper was private. The ser- vice was live streamed on Facebook. CORINE CLARK LEE Mrs. Corine Clark Lee, 79, of 112 Cotie Rd., Lawndale, NC departed this life on Monday, August 10, 2020 in Shelby, NC. She was born on July 14, 1941 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Richard and PAMELA DENISE MARTIN Pamela Denise Martin, 64, of Kings Mountain, NC, transitioned to her Heavenly home on August 16, 2020 at her home. She was born in Gaston County, NC, to the late Timmons and Betty Brakefield Barnett. Survivors: Husband of 41 years: Rick Martin, of the home; Sons: Timmons Martin and Joshua Martin and wife Brittney all of Kings Mountain, NC; Grandchildren: Darrien, Anna and Nakadin Martin, all of Kings Mountain, NC; Sisters: Sandy Chalson and husband Bruce, Gastonia, NC and Lynn Barnett of Connecticut. SHARON ANN TRUAX HIMES Sharon Ann Truax Himes, 72, of Cicero Lane, Lawndale, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence. Born in Oswego County, New York on June 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Richard Truax and Vivian Simmons Truax. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Adelbert Himes and a sister, Kathie Shattell. S u r v i v o r s i n c l u d e three sons, Scott Himes (Samantha) of Midland, Jeffrey Himes (Julie) of Concord and Shane Himes Ada Pounds Clark. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee; two daughters, Priscilla Lee and Veronica Thompson; siblings, Richard Clarks, Jr., Frances Surratt and Martha Stewart and a grandson, Jonathon Moses. Left to cherish her pre- cious memory are her chil- dren, Dwayne Thomas Lee, (Yolunda), Carl Jerome Lee (Carla) and Angela Moses (Lorenzo) all of Shelby, Shannon Lee of Lawndale, NC and Rita Vinson of Charlotte, NC; two broth- ers, John Clark (Betty) and Robert Clark (Pat) both of Lawndale; sisters, Velma Vinson (James) of Iron Station, NC, Eunice Wimbush of Lawndale, NC, Mae Katherine Williams of Vale, NC and Christine Morgan of Columbus OH; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchil- dren; sisters-in-law, Eva Vinson, Minnie Vinson (Carl Lee) and Robbie Lee; spe- cial friend, Martha Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Lee was limited to her imme- diate family. Burial took place at the Pine Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery August 16, 2020. RUTH PYE Ruth Pye, age 95, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. Ruth was born February 9, 1925 in Rutherford County to the late W.D. Holland and Odele Butler Holland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John E. Pye; two sons, John Thomas Pye and Terry Lee Pye; grandson, David Pye; three sisters, Lib Rash, Margaret Lockridge and Sylvia Morrow; three brothers, Nyle, Walter and Tommy Holland. Those left to cherish her memory include son, Russell Pye (Diana) of Cliffside, three grandsons, Brandon Pye (Michelle) of Gastonia, Matthew Pye of Forest City and Brad Pye (Harley) of Forest City; two granddaugh- ters, Christa Pye of Raleigh and Jessica Pye of Forest City; four great-grandchil- dren, Savannah, Brittany, Lyndsey, Carson; three great-great-grandchildren, Ayden, Owen and Parker. MATTIE HIPPS EDWARDS Shelby: Mattie Hipps Edwards, 92, died Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Peak Resources in Cherryville. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late George and Mae Queen Hipps. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Grady Edwards; sis- ters, Fannie Lee Bumgardner and Emma Bumgardner; and brother, Clyde Hipps. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Greene (Carl) of Shelby; sons, Mike Edwards (Diane) of Mooresboro, Larry Edwards of Shelby, and Roger Edwards (Pat) of Mooresboro; grand- children, Kevin Greene (Julie) of Raleigh, Carla Greene of Shelby, Robert Edwards (Sarah) of Shelby, Marc Edwards of Ellenboro, Karma Harris (Ginger) of Jacksonville, FL, John Edwards (Brandi) of Boiling Springs, Kelly Anderson of Shelby, and Karen Freeman (Shane Teseniar) of Ellenboro; 16 great grand- children; three great-great- grandchildren.
