Marrs, 66, passed away on May 10, 2020, at Willowdale Village. He was born to James L. and Dorothy E. (Turner) Marrs on February 17, 1954, in Evansville. Throughout the years, he was a successful insurance agent, he played guitar in numerous bands, and he was a small business owner (Homes From Marrs) while he raised three children with his former spouse, Di- nah L. (Marrs) Schum, in St. Meinrad. He had a passion for mu- sic, cooking, telling jokes and entertaining. He was a competitive Clabber player, avid fisherman, phenome- nal horseshoe player, and he enjoyed the occasional hunting trip. In addition to his great sense of humor, he was known for his hos- pitality and he took pride in his "House on the Hill," the stage for numerous get-to- gethers, thus providing life- long memories for his fami- ly and friends. He is survived by his children, Jill (Stan Werne) VanHoosier, Jamey (Holly) Marrs, and Jackie ( John) Barnett; eight grandchil- dren, Gavin Barnett, Vanes- sa Barnett, Kalyn Marrs, Alexa VanHoosier, Aidan VanHoosier, Chloe Barnett, Colton Marrs and Kaleb Marrs; his siblings, Donna (Tony) Feagley, David (Su- sie Bergstrom) Marrs, and Donald (Stephanie) Marrs; as well as an uncle, aunts, and an array of cousins, niec- es, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Do- ris Beaven; and two grand- daughters, Valerie and Ro- zlyn. He will be laid to rest be- side his parents following a funeral service at noon on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Chapel of Peace Mauso- leum at Sunset Memorial Park, 1800 St. George Road, Evansville. Friends and family can visit from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the Mausoleum. In lieu of flow- ers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunset to as- sist the family with his funer- al expenses. RUTH ANN HARRIS Ruth Ann (Loveless) Harris, 85, of Equality, Ill., passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 4:32 p.m., at Fer- rell Hospital in Eldorado. She was born on July 11, 1934, in Pike County, the daughter of the late Hov- ey and Eva (Selby) Love- less. She married Paul Vic- tor Harris on September 11, 1953, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2000. She retired after thirty years from Fountain View Nursing Home Laundry Department. Also, she was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Oakland City and Equality Tuesday Club. She is survived by her lov- ing family, one daughter, Ani- ta (Edward) Long, of Craw- fordsville, Ind.; five sons, Tim (Lynn) Harris, of Gala- tia, Ill., Mark (Melinda) Har- ris, of Harrisburg, Ill., Keith (Nancy) Harris, of Harris- burg, Ill., Hovey Lee (Kathy) Harris, of Crossville, Ill., and Tracy Harris, of Bry- ant, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchil- dren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Kevin Ray Harris; and one brother, Ralph Love- less. There will be a private graveside service at Tates Chapel Cemetery, near Ga- latia. Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Tates Chapel Church. Vick- ery Funeral Chapel in Equal- ity is in charge of arrange- ments. SHELBY JEAN GREENBERG Shelby Jean Greenberg, 75, of Indianapolis, was tak- en to heaven on May 8, 2020. She was born Shelby Jean Swain to parents Lloyd and Betty Swain, from Peters- burg. She was loved by many and friendly to everyone. She was known for her kind- ness, generosity and for al- ways looking for ways to help. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with friends and family. She had her own ceram- ic shop for years, worked at Target and in 1986, along with her husband, started Continental Office Supply in Indianapolis. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Carmel. She is survived and loved by her husband of 58 years, Samuel W. Greenberg. She was mother to and loved by her daughter, Annette (Pat- rick) Meyer, and son, Da- vid (Cynthia) Greenberg. She was a loving grandma to Amanda ( Joshua) Mc- Cabe, Abigail (Matthew) Dull, Molly ( Jacob) Rhodes, William Greenberg, Logan Greenberg and Diana Turn- er, and great-grandma to Ca- dence and Tobin. She is al- so survived by her sisters, Oneida (Marvin) Fair and Phyllis (Norman) Dillon, of Petersburg; many niec- es and nephews; great-niec- es and nephews; and many who knew her as a surrogate mother and grandmother. There will be a private burial. SUSAN L. GRUBB Susan L. Grubb 72, of Oakland City, entered rest on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at her home. She was born on Nov. 16, 1947, in Winamac, to Wilbur and Vera (Miller) Yocom. She is survived by her chil- dren, Steve and Joe Grubb, of Oakland City, and Aman- da Johnson, of Princeton; al- so 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Steve Wayne Grubb Sr. on Jan. 28, 2016. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. TAMAR A MILLS Tamara "Tammy" (Bell- ner) Mills, 58, of English, passed away on May 2, 2020. She was born on October 21, 1961, in Stendal, to Don- ald and Phillipa (Egbert) Bellner. She was a 1979 graduate of Pike Central High School. She was a loving wife, moth- er and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her hus- band, Robert Mills; her chil- dren, Jessica (Tim) Pritch- ett, Joshua (Allison) Mills and Justin (Loren) Mills; and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Phillipa (Eg- bert) Bellner. There will be a private ser- vice, with burial at Mather's Cemetery in English.
