She was the widow of the late Frank Lamar Blackwell and the daughter of the late Ceafie McKinley Leagon and Leila Mae Bolton Leagon. Mrs. Blackwell is survived by one son, Joel Blackwell of Gaffney and one daugh- ter, Dorcas Blackwell-Floyd of Shelby; three siblings, C.M. (Junior) Leagon, Luella Ricker, and Willie Ray (Pete) Leagon; and four grandchil- dren and five great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Delano Blackwell; her daugh- ter, Carol Joy Blackwell; five sisters, Virgie L. Hambright, Viola Leagon, Leona Goodson, Elizabeth (Lib) Isler and Libby Ann Leagon; and two brothers, Johnny Leagon and Charlie Leagon. Funeral services were held at Cherokee Falls Baptist Church, Blacksburg, SC. Interment was at Frederick Memorial Gardens. The Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the family. JESSIE CALDWELL HENDRICK Mrs. Jessie Caldwell Hendrick, age 83, of Cherryville, passed away on July 20, 2019. Mrs. Hendrick was the daughter of the late Perry Caldwell and Carrie Shook Caldwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hendrick; a son, Rick Hudson; and a son-in-law, Jerry Greene. She is survived by three sons, Keith Hudson and wife, Jessica of Cherryville, Tim Hudson and wife, Crystal JOHN MCGUIRE Mr. John McGuire, age 74, of Forest City, NC, passed away on July 19, 2019. He was born to the late James McGuire and Flora Hogan McGuire. Mr. McGuire served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wells McGuire; two daughters, Tracy McGuire Blanton (Brad) of Forest City and Kelly McGuire Hargett (Jason) of Kernersville, NC; five granddaughters; and two sisters, Shirley Bradley (Robert) of Mooresboro and Nancy Melton (Lloyd) of Bostic. The funeral service was held at Henrietta First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military hon- ors. BARBARA WORRELL GIBSON Mrs. Barbara Worrell Gibson, age 86, of Shelby, NC, went to her heavenly home on July 20, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Willie Worrell and Edith Campbell Worrell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Gene" Gibson; one brother, William "Bill" Worrell Jr. and one daughter-in-law, Debbie Lemons Gibson. Mrs. Gibson is survived by two sons, David Gibson and wife, Terrie of Shelby, Steve Gibson of Mauldin, SC and one daughter, Joan Gibson of Shelby; two sis- ters; Sylvia Suggs and hus- band, Delane of Irmo, SC and Sue Morton and hus- band, Vernon of Butner, NC; and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside Service were held at Cleveland Memorial Park. Cecil M. She was the daughter of the late George Maurice and Majorie Zeally Bracke. Mrs. Gebel is survived by her husband, Dr. Emile Gebel Sr.; a daughter, Gretchen Gebel of Shelby; a son, Emile Louis Gebel Jr. "Lou" and wife, Dr. Tiffany Gebel of Sulphur Springs TX; and four grandchildren. Mr. Allen served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was pre- ceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marisel Devine Allen; a sis- ter, Dorothy Anderson; and a brother, Harry Allen. Mr. Allen is survived by his sister, Shirlee Marazza; his brother-in-law, Jim Anderson; and his sister-in- law, Nancy Moss; daugh- ter, Jeannie (Dr. Doug) of Winston Salem; a son, Frank (Nancy) and a son, Tommy (Renee) both of Cherryville; and nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
