Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family. KATHY WINFIELD Mrs. Kathy Winfield, age 68, of Shelby, NC, passed away on March 26, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Sue Allen Gee; and her sisters, Cindy McCory and Charlotte Manley. Mrs. Winfield is survived by her husband, Dextor Wayne Winfield, Sr.; son, Dexter Wayne Winfield, Jr. and wife, Kimberly of Shelby; sisters: Diane Hardin of Forest City, Kay Squires of Shelby and Patsy Black of Union Mills, SC; and nine grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial took place at the mausoleum in Cleveland Memorial Park. Clay-Barnette Funerals, Cremations, & Aquamation Center is serving the family. HUGH WILL NORVILLE Mr. Hugh Will Norville, age 86, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on March 29, 2019. He was the son of the late Zeb and Dovie Deviney Norville. Mr. Norville served our country in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his son, Danny Norville and wife, Donna of Bostic; a granddaughter; two great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Norville and wife, Ruth; and sister, Carolyn Norville Clark and husband, Homer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Ollie Melton Norville; brothers, Bynum, Vance, Blaine, Gilmer Norville; and a sister, Shirley Strikman. Funeral services were held at Adaville Baptist Church, Spindale, NC. A pri- vate graveside service will be held at a later date. Crowe's Mortuary is serv- ing the family. JOHN L. ROBINSON III Mr. John L. Robinson, III, age 69, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on March 29, 2019. He was the son of the late J. Linwood Robinson, Jr. of Caroleen, NC. She was born to the late Lawrence and Pearl (Philbeck) McKee and was preceded in death by her husbands, Hugh Greene and Howard Sigmon; a son, David Greene; and three brothers, C.B. Scruggs, Lewis Scruggs and Harold Scruggs. A graveside service was held at Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery. Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory, Inc. is serving the family. PAT SHIDAL Mrs. Pat Shidal, age 96, of Vale, NC, passed away on March 28, 2019. Mrs. Shidal was the daughter of the late C.E. Perkins and Christine Murphy Perkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Max E. Shidal; a son, Ronald Max Shidal; and three sisters, Frances "Hank" Hawkins, Jo Flowers and Mary E. Herman. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Shidal of Charlotte; and a grandson and two great grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery. SHINN, SR. Mr. Oscar A. Shinn, Sr., age 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on March 22, 2019. He was a son of the late George Shinn and Kathleen Freeman Shinn In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three wives, Brenda Faye Gosnell Shinn, Trudy Shinn and Cheryl Shinn. Mr. Shinn is survived by two sons, Oscar Shinn, II of Kings Mountain and Coley Shinn of Maiden; three daughters, Judy Shinn of Gastonia, Catherine Shinn of Georgia and Mary Shinn of Charlotte; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial was private. Memorials may be made MARTHA LOUISE JEFFERIES WILSON Ms. Martha Louise "Lou" Jefferies Wilson, age 86, of Gaffney, SC, passed away on March 26, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Blanche Montgomery Jefferies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Staff Sergeant Donny Wayne Wilson and Technical Sergeant Willie James Wilson; eight broth- ers, Mr. L.V. Jefferies, Mr. Fleetwood Jefferies, Mr. Leroy Jefferies, Mr. Belton Jefferies, Mr. Dewey Jefferies, Mr. James Jefferies, and Mr. Rochelle Jefferies; three sisters, Ms. Rosetta Dover, Ms. Sadie Kirby, and Ms. Carrie Jefferies; and a grandson. Ms. Wilson is survived by six children, Ms. Marie Jefferies of Gaffney, Mr. Belton Leon Wilson of Eastover, SC, Mr. Tony L. Wilson of Gaffney, Mr. Ivory Gene Wilson of Columbus, GA, Dr. Robin Ann Wilson of Simpsonville, SC, and Ms. Julia Ann Wilson of Gaffney; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Naomi Mottina Wilson of Gaffney, Mrs. Zelda Wilson of Eastover, SC, and Mrs. Saundra Wilson of Columbus, GA; a son- in-law; and her sister, Mrs. Emma Jefferies Houston of Gaffney. A celebration of life was held at the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gaffney SC. Interment followed in the New Mt. Zion Baptist church cemetery. The Gaffney location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the family. VIRGINIA LOUISE MCKEE SIGMON Mrs. Virginia Louise McKee Sigmon, age 93, of Shelby, NC, passed away on March 24, 2019. She is survived by two children, Louise McNeilly (Maynard) of Polkville, NC, and Tommy Greene (Brenda) of Shelby, NC, seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; a brother, Billy Scruggs (Susie) of Shelby, NC; and two sisters, Annie Sue Greene of Polkville, NC and Etta Mae Turner (Brandon) Continued From Page 11 JAMES EARL BROWN Mr. James Earl Brown, age 85, of Crouse, NC, passed away on March 28, 2019. He was born to the late Judd and Nell Heavner Brown. Mr. Brown served our country in the U.S. Army in Korea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Brown; daughter, Melia Garcia; and sister, Louise Eaker. He is survived by his son, Jim Brown of Asheville; brother, Sherman Brown of Cherryville; five grandchil- dren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. He was the son of the late Maynard and Gazzie Hoyle Wellmon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Joyce Lail Wellmon; brother, Herbert Wellmon; his sons, Steven Wellmon and wife, Norma of Vale, David Wellmon and wife, Ginger of Rutherfordton and Joey Wellmon of Shelby; daughter, Julie McNeilly and husband, Wade of Ellenboro; sister, Betty Tarlton and husband, Frank of Charlotte; ten grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
